It's been 9 years since both knees ACLs had to be reconstructed and they are holding up great!

I've had 17 various surgical procedures and have experienced surgeons of various skill and ability. Dr Beyer is an Amazing surgeon and is all about doing what is best for his patients. He is highly skilled and provides excellent medical care. If you are in need of a talented surgeon who is honest and won't pull any punches when it comes to what is in your best interest, then Dr. Beyer is who you should see.

He sucked so bad that he got fired and run out of town

We used Dr. Beyer for 15+ years for various reasons, until he moved his practice to Centralia, IL, and it is too far, but not out of the question to go to him if we have to. To our family he is a no-nonsense doctor, approachable and knows his business. We had no problems with him or his staff, loved them because he got the jobs done.

Took my daughter to him for her knee. The second he walked in the door he started talking about her weight. Now she is about 20 lbs overweight, bet he didn't even start off discussing what we were there for. Spent the next 20 minutes talking about the Atkins diet and how wonderful it was. Finally, after that he talks about her knee. My daughter is a teen and very sensitive about her looks. After he had said what he did about her weight she wouldn't eat for 3 days! Thankfully, she is over all of that. I will never go back to Dr. Beyer, I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to him.

I feel you want a surgeon to hold your hand and talk to you, do not use Dr Beyer. If you want an excellent,no nonsense surgeon, he is the one. He does not suffer fools or whiners. I was told by a BJC doctor that I was too old (at 62) to have my rotator cuff tear repaired. Saw Dr Beyer , he explained my options, when I told him that I was ready for surgery, he agreed that was the best option. Surgery was done, rehab was horrible but I did all exercises. My arm is in great shape. He is a good surgeon and I would not hesitate to use again.

Simply this guy is an absolute jerk and a complete pompous jack. He will berate and talk down to you as if you are beneath him. I’ve heard him belittle his staff in the same manner. DO NOT GO TO HIS OFFICE. I’m completely shocked he’s been in business for 30 years.

He didn't even touch me. He only looked at the previous medical records. Reports are completely incorrect and occasionally down right lies.

Highly knowledgeable. Gives more than one option concerning surgical procedures. He is very involved in patient care and actually RECOGNIZES his patients without a chart. I have had 4 surgeries concerning the upper extremities with 100% success. When the problem exceeds his expertise, he makes excellent referrals. An example of this happened when I had symptoms to the upper extremities, but the actual problem involved the cervical spine. I would definitely recommend Dr. Beyer.
