Dr. Craig M. Capeci, MD

Dr. C provided a second opinion for my knee. Informed me of my options and his recommendation based on my expectation of each option. He did reconstruction of acl rupture and meniscus tear. Surgery and recovery went very well with minimal pain.

Second time I write this review and it doesn’t go thru. The reviews I read about dr Capeci are very far from my personal experience.. the guy is rude, cold, cocky, non compassionate and doesn’t care about connecting with the human being it’s putting their lives in his hands, first appt I saw him 3 minutes, 2 minutes before surgery’s and 4 minutes 2 days after surgery . He walked into my hospital room without knocking or announcing himself at 6 o clock in the am while I was in pain all night and finally fall sleep like a movie star I should’ve been so grateful of his presence.. don’t know why everything I said makes Him laugh, I Mentioned the pain medicine wasn’t working and was giving me nauseas and headache, I couldn’t eat because of a severe stomach pain, he said he knows nothing about pain medication, I mentioned my blood pressure been extreme low 93/ 47 .. didn’t make any comments, didn’t look at my chart.. he make my experience very painful, impersonal and careless .. I felt… he treated t me like a piece a chicken at the supermarket waiting to be chop and sale, no connection, no compassion, no care about my concerns or pain . There are great orthopedic surgeon in nyc, I Pick him based on the reviews about his bedsides manners for me he gets -0, personality-0, humanity -0, caring-0 .. I can’t review him as a surgeon because it’s only been 3 days since my surgery but the pain I’m going thru I make him responsible for his lack of interest .. I don’t know if the people that review him as the greatest were lying or I just got unlucky with him .. either way I will not recommend him to anybody .. very disappointed at you mr Craig capeci if you don’t have compassion or humanity toward the people that trust their health in your hands, trust me life will teach you lessons you need to Learn

He would look at MRI imaging, he did not create treatment plan, he did not want to fill out disability paperwork; he said they didn't do that. What? All doctors do that. He barely examined me, he was not worth my time. I had to find another doctor. I am an electrician construction worker, he treated me like I sat at a desk all day. He didn't listen to my concerns, his aim seemed to be to make our 10 min visit into a 3 min visit. The absolute worse!!

The orthopedic surgeon s at Methodist Hosital are the best. Dr. Capeci is taking care of shoulder pain and isn't doing surgery as a first choice. He is trying physical therapy and ice compression techniques first. If nothing works than he and I will discuss the next steps. He is very knowledgeable and professional and patient. I would recommend Dr. Capeci highly to anyone needing sports medicine assistance.

Very disappointed, been having an issue with my ankle for years. Brought two MRI reports, he didn't read them. Told me to wear an ankle brace. My referring doctor did not agree. Now I have to see another specialist who will take the time to read two pages report to determine a treatment. Called to ask questions I couldn't ask because I felt rushed, they just left me on hold.

Dr Capeci is honest, caring and accurate- all doctors should be like him. We need more of him in this area of medicine

Excellent doctor. I had a hip replacement with no pain or after effects and was ready to get up and walk the day of the surgery. I would recommend this doctor to anyone who is suffering from joint diseases. This doctor returns phone calls and emails and will answer any and all questions that you have.
