Wasn’t rushed, was patient with my mom, didn’t hurry and explained everything well!

Very patient thorough but doesn’t take up your whole day. Has afternoon appointments which helps if you work. This will be the second baby I’ve gone to him for, he also performed an outpatient surgery. Very professional!

Dr. McCoy listens well and attempts to address your concerns, no matter how unusual. He takes your case personally and offers good advice.

My first appointment with Dr. Mccoy went well. He was personable and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. We scheduled a minorly invasive outpatient surgical procedure for a later date and I expected a similar encounter, but his demeanor on the day of surgery was markedly changed. I remained conscious during the procedure but had no idea what was happening to my body the entire time. Whereas other physicians say things like, "You may feel some pressure," or, "Exhale and relax," Dr. Mccoy remained silent and surprised me with instrument insertion - the insertion was especially painful as I was not given any notice to release my pelvic floor. After he was done, he and the nurses walked out of the room, leaving me half-naked, still on the table, and uncertain whether we were finished. I eventually dressed and sought out a nurse to confirm that I could go. I was given no aftercare instructions nor any indication of what sort of recovery I'd be facing, both leaving me quite unprepared… for the night ahead. Prior to the procedure I was told I might experience mild tenderness but should be back to normal by the next day; instead, I was bleeding and in pain for nearly 24 hours before I started to recover. I'm not a stranger to painful medical procedures and not generally the type that needs much reassurance (or even conversation) from physicians, but my encounter with Dr. Mccoy left me unnerved. I sought counseling afterward. I told the therapist that I didn't exactly feel assaulted, but that something just wasn't right about the whole thing. The therapist, utterly dismayed, informed me that she was previously a patient of Dr. Mccoy's and ended up filing a complaint against him. I will plainly state that there was no overt inappropriate touching or commentary, that two nurses were present for the entire procedure, and that superficially, nothing "wrong" happened. That said, I've had my genitals prodded by way too many professionals but never walked out of an office feeling shame until the day I was treated by Dr. Mccoy.

Very wonderful doctor, very thorough and won’t stop till the problem is resolved, listen very well to what u have to say! Great bedside manor!!
