Dr. Craig Bennett Morgenthal, MD

Dr. Morgenthal did an excellent job. Was able to go back to work at my desk job within a week. Called to check up on. Overall awesome job Sir!! Thank ya Dr. Morganthall.

Surgery turned out great. No complications and recovery was uneventful. His nurse Flo was is very nice and helped me through my recovery when I called with questions.

I was referred to Dr. Morgenthal by another doctor whose opinion I respect. Dr. M. thoroughly explained the procedure. Dr. M. is on the M.D. Anderson cancer board so he has many resources. I was impressed by how much homework he did prior to our appointment. He had reviewed all my medical records and tests and found the mass on my colon was there at least a year before recent tests showed it. Thankfully, it was benign. The surgical procedure was efficiently completed and recovery was virtually pain free. Dr. M. called me the evening after my discharge to follow up. I am very pleased with his skills and raport.

Dr. Morgenthal is truly superior personally and professionally. You couldn't ask for a better surgeon!

Dr. Morgenthal is a competent surgeon- I had zero complications after my surgery and as a result of surgery, I am now at my goal weight. Outside of this, the receptionist was massively rude the first time I was in the office to the point I was near tears, there was zero follow-up, since apparently no one cares what happens to a cash-pay patient after surgery, and the doctor could use a refresher on bedside manner. He was condescending, rude, and far too full of himself, however at the end of the day...do you want a surgeon who is nice to you or a surgeon who is not likely to k*ill you in the OR? I was fine sacrificing the former for the latter, but if you want a doctor who sincerely cares about your well-being and embraces a patient-centered attitude as opposed to a "you're fat, stupid and only worth the 45 minutes of time it takes to chop out your stomach or put in a band" perspective, then eh, maybe consider another provider.

Very happy with Dr. Morganthal! I had the gastric sleeve procedure. Surgery and recovery went well. Follow up visits were thorough and when I became disappointed in myself, he encouraged me. My health and lifestyle has greatly improved! Appointments are pretty quick, but he is a busy man. He performed the same surgery on three of my friends. We are all very pleased with him!

If you are looking for a surgeon in hte Jacksonville area this is your guy. He is a great person and has great bedside matters and cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had fundoplication procedure in march, but need follow up advice because I have some issues. dr, teodoro knows nothing about post-op problems. dr. morganthal needs to have more advice on after care.

I had LapBand performed on 03/09. I have continued with my follow up visits and fills. Dr. Morgenthal is caring and very determined to help me reach my goal. I lost 55lbs the first two years. I have had no problems with my band, follow all instructions and unfortunately have not lost any weight in the 10 months(have not reached my goal weight yet). After process of elimination (testing) we are now considering our options. I am so glad to have him on my team. He is very through, and stays current in his field of practice. Though I have not always been patient, he has always listened to what I have had to say and acknowledged my concerns. He and Flo have kept me grounded and positive during my weight loss journey. I have know doubt I will reach my goal weight!!!

I had totally love Dr. Morgentahl. I had emergency surgery 10/7/10 and he came to the hospital to check on me even though he was not on call. Not many doctors will do that. My family liked the fact that he explained things to them that they could understand.I recommend Dr Morgenthal to all I know. I pray God will bless him abundently.
