I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the administrative side of Florida Orthopaedic Institute, though the actual care team was fantastic. I arrived at 1:30 PM for a 2:00 PM appointment, hoping to handle any paperwork early since I was dealing with a right knee injury (a loud pop during a lift) and had already been referred by two other doctors for an MRI. After waiting for two hours, I heard a staff member behind the counter ask, "Did Brian Cappas cancel?" It turned out the front desk completely forgot to check me in. To make matters worse, they needed my insurance card again—meaning my choice to arrive early *was* necessary, they just dropped the ball. By the time I was officially checked in at 3:00 PM, I was told I was required to get an X-ray to see the doctor. I explained I had literally just been X-rayed on Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital and that an X-ray wouldn't show a soft tissue tear anyway. They told me I'd have to reschedule and physically bring a disk from St.… Joseph's to use those images—completely ignoring the fact that digital sharing exists. Frustrated and wanting to be seen, I begrudgingly paid for and took another X-ray. Surprise, surprise: the X-ray showed nothing, and I was told I need an MRI and a follow-up. The front desk and administrative process was an absolute horror show. However, I want to give credit where it's due: Dr. Radnay was amazing—very kind, understanding, and helpful. Jackson in the casts and braces department was also absolutely amazing and provided great care. The medical staff deserves 5 stars, but management seriously needs to look into the front-of-house workflow.

A waste of time he never got the scan for my doctor I'm showing the tissue damage. His assistant looked at my leg and squeeze the leg a few times but when the doctor came in all I said, was, I think you have a muscle pull with emergency room showed a tear, but he didn't care to do an ultrasound. I don't like hearing. I think you have a pull from a doctor who's supposed to be a specialist.Would I recommend him question? No way, when I called them, they called me back. And I told them what I thought about their service and the lady hung up on me If they wanted me to bring a disk to show the ultrasound with emergency room, they said, I had a muscle tear from the ultrasound that the bones were not broke. I knew that, but then again they ordered another X-ray. But did not do any soft tissue examination. Want a waste?I would not go to him on a bet

What kind of doctor is this that? Doesn't look at the ultrasound from the emergency room and says, I think you have a pull. When the ultrasound showed a tear and his words where I think you have a pull calf muscle. Come on, look at the ultrasound, you don't treat a pull of a muscle like you would. A tear of a muscle. I wasted my time seeing this doctor and I used the term doctor loosely because he didn't even look at me or touch me. His assistant did prior to him coming in. But he did nothing.He looked at the x rays, x rays won't show up, pulled or torn muscle.I wasted my time with this quack

Patient since moving to Tampa in 2001. Both knees replaced and ankle arthritis issue addressed. Great bedside manner, top credentials, thoughtful and conservative approach to treatment options. Noticeable improvement in quality of staffing since early days. Highly recommend without reservation.

Total waste of time. He looked at my ankle, poked it until it hurt and then gave me an ankle brace I could have bought on amazon. I still don’t know what’s wrong with my ankle. We left knowing nothing more than what we did when we arrived.
