Dr. Craig Scott Shapiro, MD

He's following up with me after my PE surgery a year ago. Also checking on other DVT's. He's thorough,personable. He took time to answer our questions. Made us feel comfortable.

My Primary referred me to this office. Dr Shapiro did not want to talk with me or answer my questions. This happened on both visits.

Very quick appointment. All my appts. are. Prescribed cortisteroid inhaler. I am getting worse. Reaction to inhaler. Put me on evening oxygen after 1hr. sleep study? Don’t think he remembers me from one visit to next. It’s been 6 months now and no further interest in solving “something in lower lung lobes” or “foreign object in lung”. No interest with staff either. I had to cancel my recent appt. because I can hardly breathe and general related illness. Next appt in 4 months!

Mom has heart problems for years. Lungs begin filling with fluid and doctor taps lungs over and over. Problem persists ask doctor what's next this is not working. Lung transplant was his response that's it. with a very short attitude towards us like were bothering him. We got a second opinion quickly. Turned out mom needed emergency heart surgery her heart valves were failing. Why doctor never looked into her heart knowing she had issues is beyond me. She was within days of death when she had her heart surgery. Awful doctor no regard for patients.

Although the office is good - I am so disappointed in the care Doctor Shapiro provides. Years ago he was much better, but now he does not listen or spend time. He is short and abrupt when he speaks to you. And in the last visit he was in and out in just a minute, seemed too busy to care about me.
