Dr. Craig Ernest Vigliante, MD

Dr. Craig Vigliante performed a dental implant procedure on me. About a year ago, he refused to proceed with treating one of my teeth until conducting a biopsy to rule out cancer, as a shadow appeared on the X-ray. However, he didn’t inform me that the biopsy would involve digging deep enough to remove a nerve. The surgery was extremely painful, both during and after the procedure. The pathology report later confirmed that the shadow was not cancerous. However, as a result of the biopsy, my entire lower right lip and part of my face became not only stiff and numb but also constantly painful. This complication has significantly affected my speech and quality of life. I consulted multiple oral surgeons afterward, and none of them believe a biopsy should have caused such nerve damage. What troubles me most is that Dr. Vigliante never warned me about the potential consequences of the biopsy. I initially believed it was a straightforward and minimally invasive procedure. Had I known the… risks, I would not have agreed so readily. Dr. Vigliante charged me $1,850 for the biopsy, assuring me that UnitedHealthcare would reimburse me as a medical procedure. His office filed the claim on my behalf, but UnitedHealthcare denied it, stating it was not medically necessary. When I asked Dr. Vigliante’s office to appeal the denial, they refused, leaving me to handle the appeal myself. Unfortunately, my appeal was also rejected. In hindsight, my experience with Dr. Vigliante has been extremely disappointing, especially when compared to other oral surgeons in my area. My family is deeply upset about his behavior and has encouraged me to consider legal action.

I have had 4 dental implants done by Dr. Vigliante in the last few years - all 100% successful. He has a great bedside manner and his surgical skills are the best. My regular dentist is always impressed with the quality of his work - getting a natural gum line can be tricky, especially for front teeth, and mine is as natural looking as they come. Highly recommend Dr. V.

I took my (very anxious) 13-year old daughter to Dr. Vigiliante to have teeth extracted for braces. My daughter had minimal pain and a very fast recovery. The doctor and his staff are top notch. I highly recommend Dr. Vigliante to anyone in need of an oral surgeon.

I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Vigliante and was VERY NERVOUS about having any surgery done that had to do with the removal of teeth since a horrible experience with getting my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Vigliante was understanding of my feelings and provided me with recommendations to consider before the extraction. I had the tooth extracted and seem to be doing fine. I will visit his office again should I need anymore surgery. Dr. Vigliante and his staff were very professional and took time with me to explain what needed to occur (i.e. VERY important to me when I visit any licensed office].

I needed to have 2 teeth extracted. My regular dentist did not want to extract one of my molars because one of the roots was curved and had a small hook at the root tip. He thought it might be a difficult extraction. He gave me a referral to Dr. Vigliante. I am dentist phobic. I was very stressed out about the whole procedure. Well, Dr.Vigliante and his staff were EXCELLENT. I elected to have light sedation and I did not feel anything. When the procedure was over, I couldn't believe it. No pain. It is now the day after........still no pain. Dr. V did great work on me. His staff was also wonderful. They understood my anxiety and were comforting to me. I would definitely go back to this office. I wish I could have all my dental work done by Dr. V. If you have high dental anxiety and want someone who knows what he doing.......go to Dr.V. He has my highest recommendation.

Needed an implant and the surgical procedure and follow-up care was excellent. Procedure was a success. I would highly recommend Dr. Vigliante. I am a completely satisfied registered nurse.

Great bedside manner and good sense of humor. He seemed like a regular guy but very knowledgable. I was pleased.

Dr. Vigliante was very helpful and caring. His office fit me into his busy schedule on Friday afternoon to see me. I had let my tooth go for too long and I was in a lot of pain. Thank goodness he was able to see me before the weekend and he and his staff were great.Thank you very much.

This doctor knows what he is doing. He came highly recommended to me by a friend of mine. He followed me closely after the procedure and even called me at home multiple times. His staff is well versed in the insurance process. I was very pleased from the beginning to the end of treatment.
