Dr. Cristin Jane Babcock, MD

I had just made a major move here and she was first doctor I saw....my cholesterol was super high and she turned away and said she wasn't going to deal with this and walked out????? Nurse was nice and seemed embarrassed. It was so rude, I came from a state with a most wonderful doctor, that always treated me well and always gave me a thorough checkup and always gave me booklets and talked about what I could do -be it diet or whatever -so coming from a real professional doctor that treated me well to this one, well it was a shock. Never was treated like that before -this was a while ago and I have moved on- sure hope she has improved or learned to be kinder.

Went to her when I first moved here. Very poor - did not explain anything and felt like she was in a hurry -never treated like that before

One of the most painful pap smear I've ever had, I felt violated, and she would not ease up. I'll never go back.

Unfortunately, she was the obgyn on-call when I was at Riverbend at 32 weeks with twins and having contractions. The obgyn and nurses before her were very gentle with me while checking my cervix as they didn’t want to break my water or send me into full blown labor. She however was extremely rough and it was very traumatizing for a first-time mom going into pre-term labor with twins and being a sexual assault survivor. She pushed my knees down to the bed very roughly as I was screaming and crying in pain because I could barley walk, let alone do a full butterfly pose on my back. She shoved her hand inside of me with no warning or lube. Afterwards I was crying in pain and she actually made my contractions worse from then on. I spoke to the nurse and she said this is normal with her and it isn’t the first time they’ve had complaints. I confronted her about it when she came in next to check me again and I refused for her to touch me. She was very rude and and said “I’m going to… check you, you have no choice” and I said “No, if I need checked I’ll have a nurse do it. You made my contractions worse and hurt me you were so rough” as I was crying. She said “Well we will do what we have to do” and she walked away rolling her eyes in a huff as if she’d force me to let her check me. The nurse backed me up confronting her and said it was my right to tell her no and that I did nothing wrong. Seems like this is a common occurance with her, the nurses standing up to her on behalf of their patient. Thank God for those nurses who were on my side and advocated for me. Luckily I hung in there for the next on-call obgyn before my babies were born. I believe that if it weren’t for her, I could’ve kept my babies in longer. She’s absolutely horrible! She never apologized and acted like she did nothing wrong and was even willing to imply that she’d do it again even after I told her no. Even my normal obgyn said that’s how she is and she’s heard stories similar to mine before too. I do not recommend her whatsoever! She shoudn’t be a doctor if she’s going to treat her patients like that.

One fabulous OB, plain and simple.

Dr .Cristin Babcock is by far the best OB/GYN MD I know, and I am 65 and have lived in 8 states . She is an excellent surgeon She saved my life and is brilliant at what she does. She is also personable and charming and has a pain free pelvic exam technique which is rare.

Cristin Babcock, is the worst gynecologist I have ever been to in my life. She is rude and doesn't take any time for her patients. Just because she's a Doctor she thinks she's better than the average person. She didn't even do a good job on my Annual Exam. All she did was the Lung and Heart Exam and the Pap Exam. She didn't do a Breast Exam or Abdominal Exam which is a very important part of the Annual Exam. I wouldn't recommend anybody to this Doctor.

I had complications during my labor and had to have a c-section. I apparently bled a lot during the surgery and felt very sick during, but Dr. Babcock did not ever explain what happened. I only found out the next day because a nurse said I almost needed a transfusion and needed to stay in my bed.I also found her appointments short, clipped, and that she was often leaving very quickly. This was my first pregnancy so I really needed someone to spend a few more minutes with me.

Cristin does not listen and is not very knowledgable in her field. I would never trust her with my health, also leaves the room while you are still talking. Terrible bedside manner and doesn't know the answers to simple pregnancy questions
