Dr. Crystal Beth Evig, MD

After childbirth complications arose. They decided to induce and use 2 epidurals so that the Doctor could go home. She had been taking naps in between. Dr Evig and co stood around like a deer in headlights while my wife was bleeding to death. They didn't know what was going on and lacked the critical thinking to react to the emergency situation (it was as if she was in shock), Evig caressed my wifes face because she (Evig) had no clue what to do. They were asking about standard protocol, such as type and cross, etc. I had to explain the difference between a type and cross and a type and screen to her and the Anesthesiologist because instead of taking action they were arguing about which was which. I had to tell them that the Nurses did the type and cross and had my wifes blood type on file and to immediately get her a transfusion as she was losing far too much blood. I had to offer suggestions and prompt them to act. I had even asked Evig if there were any other Doctors around for… help. I finally told them to take her to the ER. The ER Doctor said (off record) that if I hadn't, she would have died due to negligence. Her health partners investigated themselves and found no wrong had been done. Conflict of interest. Please beware if you use her. I'm sure that if it's a situation that requires no immediate action, then she would do fine, however, do you really want to risk it?

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Evig throughout my pregnancy and the delivery of our son. She is very matter-of-fact, and has a relaxed approach. She made me feel comfortable throughout my first pregnancy. Highly recommend.
