very good doctor knows her stuff and cares about her patients, I suffer from hypo thyroidism, and other disorders, I found her to be very helpful in taking care of myself

I went to this doctor for what was initally generalized lower back pain. She spent a decent amount of time with me on the first visit, however she didn't look at or feel my lower back before assigning me physical therapy. Two months later and I was still in agonizing pain and suffering from mild depression from the injury. I called the office in tears and made an appointment for a week later when they could fit me in. I came in to see her and this second visit was absolutely rushed. She didn't address my complaint of feeling depressed and said that I just need take 6-8 Advil a couple times a DAY and continue with PT. On this visit I specified that my condition was actually "sacro-illiatic joint dysfuction," as determined by the physical therapists. At one point during this second visit, I had to grab a nurse because the doctor left the room really abruptly without saying anything to me and I wasn't sure if we were even done! Horrible bedside manner. Dr. Mattimore ended up sending a… referral to orthopedics, however she wrote "lower back/spine" on the form, which ISN'T my condition. Thus orthopedics refused to see me and said that I need to see the spinal department. Dr. Mattimore never offered an apology for this error, which costed me three weeks in waiting for two referrals. When she called me back, she managed to mispronounce "sacro-illiatic" which I found disconcerting. I followed up the day after she called me to check the status of the referral and to confirm that I got the correct X-Rays done, since she wrote the wrong thing on the referral for ortho, I no longer trust her competency. Dr. Mattimore called me back and left me an extremely rude voicemail, never apologizing or offering to quell some of my concerns. When someone is dealing with chronic pain for the first time, you expect the doctor to be slightly more understanding, thorough, supportive and attentive. If that is the kind of doctor you need, go elsewhere.

Doesn't seem to pay attention to what you say, rambles on about nonsense stuff, takes way too long with the visit. What takes her 45 minutes in the room should only take 15 at the most and because she spends so much time with each person, the wait is too long. My visit took 2 hours for a routine check-up.
