Dr. Cynthia Chaparro-Krueger, DO

I think a robot is capable of more compassion than she is. The most dismissive doctor you can ask for. I have had an abnormal Pap smear in the past with a different doctor, and was advised to get Pap smears annually for 3 years to ensure no other issues would come up. I saw her for the first time when it was my “year number 2” and she said “since your pap last year was normal you don’t need another.” Straight up refused care even though my previous doctor recommended this and it was completely covered by my insurance! I truly think it’s because she just didn’t want to walk 2 feet to the printer to get the lab sticker. I escalated the situation to the highest level I could and they reassigned me a different gynecologist thank goodness. If AI were to ever replace human jobs, I hope they take hers first.

Should have read the reviews here because I agree with everything that was said here. Dismissed my concerns without even seeing me.

I’m getting the sense that she is just very dismissive and doesn’t listen to the patient. I’ve seen her multiple times and she is so fast to brush off my concerns. This is the first doctor I’ve ever had just tell me I’m wrong about what I’m feeling or experiencing without first looking at any data on me to make a decision. She treats her care like it’s my way or the highway.

My visit left me feeling traumatized and violated. Dr. Chaparro-Kreuger lacked basic bedside manner and made a simple procedure much more painful than need be. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere instead of using her services.

Completely agree with above comments. NOT an ideal doctor a patient wants to visit.

Dr. Krueger was the on-call doctor during my labor. As a first time mom with a high-risk pregnancy, having my water break spontaneously at 35 weeks was terrifying. I had a C-section after 32 hours of labor. I feel that her lack of bedside manner, explanations, guidance, and compassion greatly aided in my traumatic birth experience. I hardly saw her and she seemed very annoyed whenever I did see her. Fortunately another doctor came on-call and made the decision to perform my C-section just a couple of hours later where I delivered a small, but healthy, preemie. I feel that the doctor who delivered my baby showed me more compassion and gave more explanations for what was happening in the limited amount of time she had to explain the situation than Dr. Krueger showed me during her entire shift.

In person, she emoted impatience and a lack of sympathy. Her first words and facial expressions were her explaining things to me in a glaring and annoyed tone. She was also more concerned with displaying her knowledge than with listening to my concerns as a patient. At one point, when I wanted to ask a question, in the middle of her saying something I didn’t understand, she rhetorically asked, “Can I finish,?” in a contemptuous tone. What she should do instead is listen to the patient and try to make the patient feel at ease. That’s not done by mere compartimgnof knowledge; you have to make sure the patient feels that your goals align. She only wanted to do what she was scheduled to do. She eventually did but she initially showed no interest in responding to my changing needs as a patient. It was done resentfully. She seems like a good worker bee, able to memorize facts, and get tasks done, but when it comes to the art of personal doctor-patient interaction, she still has a long way… to go, if that is something that she can learn. Perhaps she was just having a bad day, but either way, based on my experience with her, two stars out of five.
