Dr. Cynthia Cheng

I have been Dr. Cheng's patient for a little over 1 year now and will be switching to another primary care doctor. I feel that Dr. Cheng is always rushed during my visits(including my initial visit with her), there's always a delayed response to questions/concerns via the My Chart app, and she does not really "listen". I agree with the previous reviewer - she appears to be more concerned with pushing meds than listening to whats actually happening.

This was my first and only experience at 833 Chestnut in Suite 301-- maybe it was a fluke of a day, but it was extremely unsatisfactory. The waiting room felt like a DMV or an emergency room -- calling people to numbered desks and then having to sit again to be called by the nurse. The nurse was extremely cold toward me. She did not measure my height and instead asked me what it was. She told me my doctor, Cynthia Cheng would be in with me next. Instead, a young male student -- I had requested a female doctor so was really thrown off by this. I did appreciate that he took his time with me, but it was clear he was learning the system -- it was my understanding that Dr. Cheng would review our discussion based on his notes. When she came back in, she was extremely rushed. I had noted to the student a couple things I wanted to discuss with her, but she barely mentioned them and kept asking me what I wanted to do, even though I was there to ask the professional for suggestions. She… seemed more happy to provide me drugs and get me off to someone else than spend a few moments asking me questions. Looking at my charts later, they made several mistakes regarding my family history. They also never asked for medical records from my previous doctor. I felt a true lack of care. That's not the kind of health care anyone should be getting. I definitely will not be returning.
