Dr. Cynthia Chin serves as a Thoracic surgeon and Director of the Women's Cancer Program Services at White Plains Hospital. Dr. Chin continues her commitment to provide exceptional clinical care to her patients, bringing her extensive experience in treating both benign and malignant conditions of the chest and its structures to our community. Using minimally invasive video-assisted techniques (VATS) in the treatment of cancers of the lung, esophagus, and thymus as well as myasthenia gravis, her patients recover faster, have minimal pain and fewer complications, and resume active, functional lives more quickly.

She actually puts patient to go to useless testing, then insults patients by saying she doesnt believe their symptoms, then she proceeds to tell you she is not “confident” to operate on you.Waisting over a month in time & copayments. I had a v symptomatic hernia witch settled into fixed (stuck) changing symptoms often. I got a Toupet fundoplication at Mt Sinai (!! had to change hospitals/Doctor) after the right testing ordered by a competent surgeon there (barium swallow reveling stricture). Mt Sinai Dr rules! Dont bother w dr chin & White Plaines. NOT exeptional. NOT every day.

In May 2016 Dr Chin performed a lobectomy on my right lung. I highly recommend her as she is kind compassionate, takes the time to explain everything and listens to any fears you might have.

From the moment I scheduled my appointment with Dr Chin I knew I was in the right place. It all started with her office staff who were friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. When I had surgery, of course I was scared, but Dr Chin put all of my fears to rest. She explained everything thoroughly and in language that was easy to understand. She did not use "doctor talk" and answed all of my family's questions. During the hospital stay I was constantly informed about what was happening and why. Dr Chin and her staff made me feel safe in a very scary situation. YOU COULD NOT BE IN BETTER HANDS!!!!!
