Dr. Cynthia Puyod Maguire, MD

Made apt. With my dr. Burt hall. But he was out that day and ended up seeing Dr. Zara. Seemed a little put off but saw me anyway.l was having heart attack but she was more interested in what INS.I had. Her Misdiagnosis caused me to undergo heart transplant @ Brigham women's hospital. Took her to court this DR. Didn't even know what the word training means. be safe STAY AWAY !

Reception gave me an appointment for 10am and left a voice message to confirm. When I arrived on time I was told my appointment was at 9:30am and had to wait or reschedule for another day. After visiting with the doctor I returned home and listened to my message and indeed was told 10am and called to tell reception. There was no apology and was told the office had a log of all out going messages and I didn't have to play back my home voice mail for her. Still no apology for their mistake after having to wait for over and hour to see the doctor. Dr. Maguire seemed to lack a comforting bedside manner and was dismissive of my ailments. She said my symptoms were exacerbated because I was "too worried" about my symptoms although they are new to me. Not certain if Dr. Maguire's curt manner was due to an assumption that I was late for my appointment and had to squeeze me in. I did mention the incident with the receptionists and told me I didn't have to stay. I also asked Dr. Maguire if… her practice was the right fit for me since her patients are mostly geriatric. She said because of my age, my ailments would pale in comparison to her older patients and said "you would be like nothing to me". Could be English is her second language but Dr. Maguire's reasoning is worrisome.
