Dr. Cynthia Jean Scott

Not only worst gynocologist I've been to but the worst doctor I've been to. Very incosiderate, a procedure that should have been painless (and I know this because my new gyno did this procedure on me and I felt nothing) was exrcruciating, probably the worst pain I've ever felt. She did not warn me she just did it and got mad at me because I jumped only because I wasn't expecting how painful it would be and then she proceeds to tell me oh its not that bad its not like im removing cancer. The procedure left a scar and it was a horrible experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Scott's before, but after two recent and similar experiences that have happened to two of my friends. While examining me, she didn't allow me to relax before shoving in her metal apparatus. She also didn't inform me of my current health status throughout the examination, instead she talked about Starbucks. I was already displeased with her service, and the next two stories did not positively influence my opinion of this woman. About two months ago, one of my close friends visited Dr. Scott for her first time for her annual PAP smear in hopes of finding an OB/GYN to continue to visit and deliver her future children. When her results came in, she received a voicemail from the office saying that she needed to make a follow-up appointment because her results weren't normal. Well at her follow-up appointment, Dr. Scott informed her that the PAP smear indicated that she had scar tissue on her cervix, that her cervix was closed, and that she was "more than likely"… infertile, but that would be confirmed by further testing. For the next few weeks, my friend was a mess and cried all of the time. Coincidentally, she started talking to another one of my friends about it, who had also visited Dr. Scott recently and she got the same results. She was also told that she was infertile with a closed cervix. My two friends were very concerned and an emotional wreck. After they both decide to make appointments with a fertility specialist two weeks away, one of my friends took a pregnancy test (because after researching she discovered that a closed cervix could mean pregnancy) and it was positive. She then went to her new doctor, and her pregnancy is going fine. As for my other friend, she visited the new doctor about 4 days ago, and after telling her story to him, he was astounded. He stated that the only way to confirm a closed cervix and scar tissue is through examination, and after he examined her, he found that there were no signs of scar tissue. Slightly confused, he requested that Dr. Scott fax over her medical records and results to look for reasons for why she told my friend that she was infertile. Dr. Scott said that she had no record of my friend ever going to her office. Now extremely confused, he then contacted the laboratory where all of the doctors in his (and Dr. Scott's) suite sends their cultures to be tested. The laboratory also denied all records of my friend's cultures and results ever being there. Not only was the new doctor disgusted by Dr. Scott, but so was my friend. He told her that many of Dr. Scott's patients had been going to him lately and that it is very probable that Dr. Scott's best interest is in her financial status, not her patients. I do NOT recommend this woman to anyone. She also told my friend that because she was so tense on the exam table, that she should by a vibrator to help her relax. She is extremely unprofessional and should not continue to practice.

I love her very much I have been seeing her for over 22years and I WOULDNOT STOP SEEING HER FOR NOTHING IN THE WORLD.She delivered my daughter and she is now 20 years old,I just can't say enough about her.HER AND HER STAFF ARE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible physician

This was my first visit for an annual. Was looking for a new GYN. Found Dr. Scott to be personable and answered all my questions. Didn't feel rushed. Office staff was friendly. No problems with getting my insurance issues straight for the first visit, etc. I will definitely keep her as my doctor. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an GYN.

Wonderful doctor.

Dr. Scott did my hysterectomy in 2002 and was wonderful. Felt very secure with her taking care of me. Explained everything beforehand, lots of reassurance, patience, sense of humor.No problems at all afterward, and I was actually getting around wonderfully after just 5 days (walking). Dr. Scott has been my OB/GYN since 1983, delivered one of my sons and taken care of all my OB/GYN needs with never a problem! Most HIGHLY recommended physician in care and quality.
