Dr. Cynthia Elizabeth Spier, MD

I am surprised how Kaiser lets this doctor work in its hospital. She is the coldest doctor I have ever met. She has no value for her patients. I quit Kaiser because of her lack of knowledge and bed side manners and hope they ban her from practice.

Dr. Spier is a gifted, persistent neurologist who has her patient's back. My husband's glioblastoma in his right front temporal lobe was inoperable according to several neurologists. When his other neurologist retired, Dr. Spier took his case. She refused to accept his terminal prognosis, searching on his behalf for a surgeon specializing in that particular tumor type in that location. She found one. After complete resection of the right front temporal lobe, My husband is now 15 years cancer-free and thriving. I only wish She/Kaiser thought to refer him to occupational therapy/Rehabilitation. He never received any rehab to help him learn compensatory skills for executive functioning, left peripheral vision loss, etc. I was able to get him into a vocational rehabilitation program 11 years after the surgery & we finally got him back to work. That said, we are FOREVER grateful for Dr. Spier's unwillingness to give up on my sweetheart.

terrible attitude and mean to patient

The staff got very irritated when asked for standard information about scheduling. This is part of their job yet they acted like it was a huge inconvenience. I was very disappointed. The diagnosis was later proven wrong by a second opinion.

Great Dr and spent time reviewing my chart and discussing my MS with me.

I have MS and I feel as though she thinks everything I go through just isn't that big of a deal. I feel very unimportant when I see her or maybe it's just that she is too busy as I know she has a huge case load
