Dr. Cynthia Cerise Young, MD

This Physician doesn't know the importance of taking a medication called synthroid for a thyroid condition called hypothyroidism. She refused to get my medication until I have been seen in which I have an upcoming appointment. I have been on this mediation for years. I understand policies and procedures, however I need just one refill until I can be seen and her and hr office staff refuse to give me my prescription. It has been two days of missing my medication. It would take much longer to get in to be seen by a new physician, and meanwhile I am suffering from lack of concern and compassion from Dr. Young office. I read another patients complaint about thyroid medication and I am starting to believe that it true.

Awesome experience! Actually saw the PA, but that was fine. Appt was for yearly checkups and an asthma Doc referral. Highly recommend!

My daughter, husband and I are patients of Dr. Young. I'm not sure she has ever seen any of us. This is not the problem as we just go in for checkups. But the phone is always busy, you are left on hold for 10-15 minutes when trying to book an appointment and the regular wait is more than 45 minutes every time we have been, closer to 1 hr. She is understaffed so that your calls are either not taken or not returned. if you book, take the first appointment of the day.

Dr. Young is absolutely fantastic! I chose Dr. Young from the many "Triangle Area" Docs., based on her treatment philosophy. She treats each individual patient based on their own needs and desired approaches; she also understands the need for a General Practitioner to know their patients and to be the central figure in their medical care. I have found this approach to be more and more difficult to find, and it is very refreshing to not dread going to the Doctor's office. An extra bonus to being a part of Dr. Young's patient load is the practice in which she is working; ALL of the office staff is very friendly and caring. When I say all, this is including the billing person, which is equally just a rare of a find as Dr. Young. I am thrilled with Dr. Young, as well as the practice overall!

Dr. Young is a truly exceptional physician. Her expertise has blown me away on several occasions. Her practice is source of amazement in that she has been right on the mark when treating me and my family. We love her. I had been smoking cigarettes for over 40 years when I met her for the first time. She suggested that it was finally time for me to stop smoking, and recommended a course of treatment for me which included the stop-smoking drug, Chantix. I actually had very little hope that it would work for me, since the habit was so totally ingrained in me. Much to everyone's surprise, it not only worked, but it worked immediately! I was told that I had the lungs of a 92 year old man when I started Chantix. Three months after staring the program, I had completely stopped smoking, and never looked back. I believe that she helped me extend my life. When another test was administered after being quit for a whole year, my lungs were like those of a 60 year old. MUCH improvement. I was 55 at… the time.I have recommended her to my friends, and her practice has increased by orders of magnitude since then, and every smoker I have sent to her has quit, save one, and we didn't think it would work for him anyway.Thank you, Dr. Young.. you saved my life. I do not hesitate at all in saying, that I love her being my doctor.
