Dr. Cyrus Erik Abbaschian, MD

Since I have been a RN for 45 years and have had many orthopedic surgeries, I need excellent MDs. when 2 other orthopedic surgeons referred me to him for a right hip replacement, he explained why he had to revise the left leg first. He was thorough and respectful that I am an RN. On Oct. 2017 when I was in the OR holding room, he came down to find out why it took 11 attempts to start an IV on me. He or his excellent PA saw me every day. In Nov. 2018 when he saw me walking down the Presbyterian hospital hall, he stopped, conferred with my hospital team, got me off the blood thinner for 3 days, and replaced my right hip. His office staff are professional. If there is anything I did not like, it was the waiting time in his office is a little too long. But I know he may be running late because he was doing surgery earlier that day. I have referred over 12 people. He fixes stuff that other MDs have fouled up.

I actually stumbled on Dr. Abbaschian through a referral of a friend...and so glad I did! He has set my mind at ease over a tumor they found in my femur, taken excellent care of me, removed a cyst from my arm. He will send you to a specialist if he feels like your issue is out of his specialty. I highly recommend him. I'm shocked about the other reviews, because I found Dr. Abbaschian to have a great bedside manner, he really answered all my questions, and never rushed me. His staff is also great. They worked fast to get me a surgery date and they are ALL very empathetic and caring. Again, go see him - you will be glad you did!!

No bedside manor. No information about what he was going to do with my surgery. No follow up after surgery. Had to redo my surgery 2 times because the device he selected did not fit me. And the screws he put into my bone did not hold. I still have my stitches in 2 months later that I’ve been told by several medical facilities that they should be out. First botched surgery had staples . And now an entirely different device and approach to what he did first time? Is he guessing what might work this time or I maybejust “Practicing medicine. Bottom line; I still cannot use my limb that he operated on.

He put a plate in my arm with screws into my bone to hold it in place. I am a cancer patient and the screws did not hold into the bone. The plate was entirely to large for my arm, came loose, so had to do the surgery over. I never received a visit post or while in the hospital from him and no rehab /physical therapy was administered, prescribed, told me nothing . I still have stitches in my arm that nobody will take out because they said I have to go back to him which I won’t. Still cannot use my arm at all, i’m worse now than I was before No bedside manner no communication no good at all . And this doctor came highly recommended by several other facilities in the medical community. .. go figure

I broke my hip and was transported to Presbyterian Dallas. Dr Abbaschian was assigned to my case and boy am I lucky !! I have a lot of health issues and this surgeon did a wonderful job ???. Just google this mans credentials . And yes I would give him 10 stars if I could ????????????????????

I'm dealing with a hip replacement that's not doing well. Referred to Dr. Abbasian as the best to treat my problem. Very satisfied

Many problems with this practice. LONG waiting times, incorrect billing, doctor is not good listener, nor does he look you in the eye. Dr. is quick to make judgement before hearing out the patient. You can find better

Great doctor! I had a pelvic fracture from a cycling accident and Dr Abbaschian did an amazing job putting everything back together.
