Dr. Dacia Aurelia Pickering, MD

I had a problem that I originally went to an immediate care clinic for (an abscess that had become severely infected). Three different doctors at the immediate care saw me. Two tried to open the abscess and failed. The one good thing they did was get me an immediate appointment with Dr. Pickering. She looked at it, explained what was going on and proceeded to open, drain and pack the abscess. Dr. Pickering's nurse was also great helping to keep me distracted with conversation while the doctor worked. It was not a great way to spend a morning, but by the time I left, I was feeling better. The abscess healed completely with no problems. Of the four doctors I saw for my problem, I wish Dr. Pickering had been the first. It would have been one and done. She is a knowledgeable, pleasant person and a good doctor. If the need arises in the future, I would not hesitate to request her services.

Dr. Pickering is very personable with a winning smile. She is very well trained and skillful. I had a hernia repaired by Dr. Pickering using the latest endoscopic technique. There was no pain with the procedure and only a little discomfort for a few days afterward. I never took a single pain medication after the surgery. I was back to light work in 2-3 days and regular duties in a week. My incision is only 1/4" long! Dr. Pickering is a Class Act start to finish.
