I've been with Dr. Bauwens for about 35 years. I had two back surgeries that were failures. Then I met with Dr. Bauwens and he did my 3rd. back surgery. I consider him as my angel because he saved my life. He is a wonderful surgeon and human being. Very kind and understanding gentle man. There is no one that is more qualified and caring then he is. I have been a patient of Dr Bauwens for nearly 30 years. He has taken care of fractures in the past and now is treating my arthritic knees. I have nothing but praise for him. He is an outstanding physician and surgeon. He is never in a hurry, explains treatment options clearly, and always recommends conservative options first such as physical therapy. He is also very compassionate and always listens. I recommend him without hesitation. I don't know what I'll do when he retires.
