Dr. Dalit Ashany, MD

Missed an appointment due to hospitalization, and when I called to reschedule, I was told she was no longer willing to see me. Again, I was hospitalized - and their excuse was that I should have given them a courtesy call. This was after a 2-month long wait to see her to try and address the agonizing pain shooting throughout my entire body. But y'know, you do you - sorry I was HOSPITALIZED and didn't have the COURTESY to let you know ahead of time. Thank you for wasting my time. Just retire already if you're not interested; you're only a couple of years away.

I have been going to Dr. Ashany for years. After an unpleasant experience with another top rated rheumatologist finding Dr. Ashany was a blessing. She takes the time to go through everything with you, listens, is open to discussing changes/alternatives to treatment/medication, always makes sure you are following up with other appointments and check ups related to whatever your condition is. She is extremely personable and knowledgable!

Insincere. Lacks tact. Smug and seems uninterested in her work. No knowledge of therapies beyond pharmaceuticals for autoimmune conditions.

After going to another dr who wouldn't listen to me when I said I didn't feel any improvement I found dr Ashany and for the first time since excruciating pain took over my body I found a dr who listened to me and explained why the other Drs didn't think I had RA she increased my meds and for the first time in almost 2 years I felt relief!! She is caring and kind!!

At first I didn't feel like I connected with the doctor and thought she was a bit cold. I had been reassigned to her when my first rhuem at HSSRetired. Over time she has warmed up and softened style but more importantly she is always thorough on exams and treatments. After all, this is why I keep traveling into NYC which takes a few hours a month. I tried local and received sub par care twice! I won't leave HSS and dr Ashany unless my insurance stops covering such a great specialty hospital! World class care.

I adore Dr. Ashany! I have been to rheumatologists in three other states and none before diagnosed my lupus. Dr. Ashany is thorough, caring, warm and friendly. I travel roughly 100 miles to be seen by her at HSS; it's well worth the trip. I feel completely confident with her diagnoses and care and would recommend her highly to anyone needing a rheumatologist.

I was having back spasms for a long time and couldn't seem to get an accurate diagnosis from any of the physicians I went to. Dr. Ashany spent a lot of time with me, and she gave me a very thorough examination. I never felt rushed and felt I was in good hands. Her follow up is excellent also. I would highly recommend her - good doctors like her are hard to find these days.

Dr. Ashany is smart, personable, caring, and a great diagnositician.
