Dr. Damon A Delbello, MD

Dr. Delbello is a phenomal doctor. Once you get to know him he is also a great guy. I see negative reviews about the wait time this has been fixed. He travels to our area from westchester to fill a need for a pediatric orthopedic and maintains a steady flow of patients. We have seen him for 4.5 years with our daughter for hip dysplasia. He was honest, caring and thorough. She was just cleared. My family is eternally greatful.

He knowledgable talented and really cares about his patients. He doesn't see all conditions but will refer to others who do. With current health care regulations, Dr D now must spend more time on a computer entering in your health information than on your actual physical examination. There is no time for chit-chat or small talk. There are other people in the waiting room, and if employed by a system, Yes APS is, there are quotas to be met. All physicians have fallen victim to the rules and regulations written by those with business & law degrees. It sucks, but cut him a break, office would be empty if he wasn't great!

It took me over a month to get the appointment. I got there 20 minutes early, after 45 minutes I asked how late the doctor was running I was told he wasn't and would be with me in a few minutes, a half hour later I left! Very unprofessional but my daughter was happy because we got to hear how he was speaking to parents and children at the same time and we were not impressed. Also with HIPA laws I should not be able to hear what the diagnosis of the patients are.

When my son was a 26 month old, he had a broken tibia, we were referred to him by the hospital's ER MD for f/up on a cast. We were very disappointed when he looked at our son and said he "looks like he has osteogenesis imperfecta". Minutes later he took a personal call, right in front of us, while we nervously waited for him. We asked why he was saying he had OI and he said not to worry and to not look it up on the internet! Awful experience!

Dr. DelBello performed scoliosis surgery on my daughter back in 2013. He was caring, compassionate and made my daughter and our family feel at ease about the surgery. She is happier and healthier now and we have Dr. DelBello to thank!

He is so nice he finally operated me so I could walk straight

Dr. Delbello was incredibly kind to my daughter. He is very patient answering all quesitons and concerns. It is rare to find a Doctor with an amazing bedside manners and such a high level of professionalism.

Dr. DelBello has been wonderful with my daughter thus far. She has sever scoliosis and due for surgery in two weeks with him. He spoke with my daughter to her personally, which I liked very much. He answered all of her questions honestly and to the point but with a caring sense...to me that is extremely important. As soon as her MRI results were in, he called me immediately-I did not have to wait days like I have with other doctors. I will send a review of him again post surgery. But, so far so good with his compassionate side.

All 3 of my children have seen Dr DelBello for various problems and I am nothing but pleased. I would and have recommended this surgeon to anyone who has a child that requires the attention of an orthopaedic surgeon. As for some of the other comments posted to this page regarding the wait time; this physician specializes specifically in Pediatric Orthopaedics. There ARE NOT many doctors in this area practicing in this specialty. Also if you ever have to wait, you should appreciate that the time spent with other patients may be the same amount of time that he may require with you and your family during your appointment.

my injured child loved him. Dr DelBello set my sons bone very quickly in the office. my son was scared, and it hurt a little but he left happy and pain free. i was glad that i didn't have to spend hours in the emergency room.
