Dr. Dana Nicole Jennings, MD

Internal Medicine of Ventura is unique in medical practices is that it is one of the friendliest and most efficient offices I have encountered in the Ventura County area. The office is immaculate and warm in its ambience. When I see something that is this well-run, when the staff is pleasant and helpful, I know that this is because this is fostered from the top on down. That is truly the case here. I have been a patient of Dr. Dana Jennings for 5 years now. She is personable, bright, thorough, and truly cares for her patient as a whole person. What I also really appreciate is that her referrals to specialists have been, without exception, excellent. This also shows that she is well networked, and has gone to great lengths to provide her patients with good physicians when specialized care is needed.

She has been my doctor for many year. She's smart and very capable. She listens and addresses my concerns immediately. I am saddened to see some of these negative reviews. I do not agree with any of the negative ones. We are very happy with her.

I found Dr. Jennings to be inattentive, cold, rarely making eye contact, and her practice started taking money from me before I could even see her for a physical. Her practice even lied about taking blue shield and disregarded any and all concerns I had about paying out of pocket for a physical. To me, this private practice just wants your money. I've never met a doctor who was so cold and who's staff has absolutely no clue how to resolve any insurance issues. The wait times to see Dr. Jennings also were longer than normal. I had to wait four months just to try and see her for a physical. I come from the Boston area where the healthcare is some of the best in the country. I left this practice never even receiving my physical and found a different doctor who shows compassion for patients and takes the time to get to know them. I do not trust the people in this practice and never will. Stay away from this place. The lack of care and disregard for patient issues is immoral.

Worst doctor I have ever seen! I left in tears!

She spent less than 20 minutes with my mom and this was supposed to be a new consultation visit. She wouldn't allow us to discuss all the medical concerns we were having regarding my mom during this visit because she stated "you have a lot of problems"..."I don't have any more time today"...."you will have to make another appointment to see me another time". When we arrived to the first scheduled appointment (previous to this one), we were told to go home because she was out sick for the day. When we asked why no one tried calling us we were told they were too busy. One of my mom's concerns was chronic insomnia, her 'treatment' for that was Neurontin, a medication for epilepsy that didn't work at all. We have subsequently seen a sleep specialist who stated that Neurontin is never prescribed for sleep and he had no idea why she would prescribe that medication. I would never see this physician again. I work in the healthcare field (I am an RN) and have worked with many good and… not so good physicians. She was bad, , disinterested and didn't provide any substantive care to my mother. I would highly discourage any one from seeing this physician, even for very benign problems.

This doctor is very hard to get in to see. She doesn't follow up with her patients nor does she return calls but instead her nurse does so you end up trying to communicate your concerns through the the nurse. I find her very impersonal, unhelpful, and insincere. I would never recommend this doctor.

Not sure how I feel, but she seems thorough, but very serious/stern and somehow quiet. I don't think I can see a dr with no personality, I am too sensitive, and need more connection.

She listens and responds appropriately. She will call it as she sees it and I appreciate that. Dr. Jennings is a doctor who I highly recommend.
