Dr. Dana Kristopher Petersen, MD

I found Dr. Petersen by pure luck. I had a cancer diagnosis and was told to pick a ENT MD/surgeon. I made an appointment and met Dr. Petersen soon after. He immediately put me at ease with his professionalism, knowledge, confidence and friendliness. He treated me as a person and not a number. He consulted with all my other MD's and soon set a date for surgery. The surgery was very long and technical, I had cancer in my thyroid and glands. Unfortunately, one of my vocal nerves was completely covered in cancer and had to be removed. I lost my voice and had a very difficult time speaking. Dr. Petersen assured me that he could even help with this in a follow up appointment. I was worried because I spend time with clients and need to communicate, I was very worried. Dr. Petersen fixed my voice as well as removing the cancer in my neck. He not only saved my life but he gave me back my voice. I feel great and have no adverse effects from either surgery. He's an amazing surgeon

I am writing this review because of Dr. Dana Petersen. I came to him many months ago because I had some pain in my throat after the second Covid vaccine. I was first struck by how friendly and warm he was with me. He was so kind and approachable. He checked out my throat and reassured me that nothing was wrong. Then, he looked in my ears and found what ,without his keen observation, I would have never known about-I had a small tumor in my left ear! Because of him, I found out that I had a slow growing tumor that would eventually have left me potentially deaf and was responsible for many of the symptoms I was currently experiencing. Dr. Peterson stayed with me and guided me through the whole process, helped me find the right surgeon and reassured and guided me all along the way. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Peterson. He is truly brilliant, kind, and just a wonderful human. He is the best .

Terrible functional and cosmetic results. I needed functional surgery and asked for minor cosmetic change. Look much worse than prior to surgery and still cannot breathe
