Dane A Higgins

In all fairness to Dr Higgins, I have never met or seen him. However, when I scheduled my appointment, I thought it was to meet with him. When I arrived, there was noone in the front office and multiple people were waiting. When I was brought to the back, I sat and waited for over a hour after my appointment time and was in the same room as the secretary with no privacy for other patients or people on the phone. When I finally got taken to a room, i met with someone for about 20 minutes and then told it would be over a month before I could get in for the testing and at least another month for the results. In the meantime, someone cancelled and they were offering a next day appointment to me and others in the office instead of people who had been on the wait list. Very poor communication and office protocols. After all of this, I wont be going back.

After going to the testing with this doctor Higgins I had a couple of comments and questions for him I emailed him over a month ago and have yet to hear from him I followed up with two phone calls and no results. He doesn't seem to care about following up on the patient has a question. I would find somebody else

Kind and compassionate doctor.

Dr. Higgins speaks clearly and does not get overly technical. He is a bit monotone, and depth of his sensitivity is more difficult to measure for me. I did not observe any breeches of ethics from the doctor or the staff. I was immediately comfortable in his office and thus soon felt him to be trustworthy. After testing he did explain my symptoms in understandable terms but his diagram terminology was not easy to recall when I returned home. Just a heads up. He has scheduling issues. I had to wait while he completed scoring and evaluating my tests! That gave him little lead time to actually prepare for our meeting. He graciously apologized for my wait and his failure in not being completely prepared. Some doctors find it difficult to apologize I have not had the time to know the effects of his treatment plan. Working to improve the brain does not happen overnight. I see him again in 18 months. I have no idea what other persons schedules might be. P.S. Still waiting… (2 weeks) for copy of documents and summary results sent to neurologist.
