Dr. Daniel C. Austin, MD

He is an extremely skilled doctor who completely repaired my break. He always carefully explained everything thoroughly and in terms that I understood. He frequently asked if I had questions or concerns. He never seemed rushed and took the time I felt I needed to meet with me.

My son had an elbow injury that he tolerated for 15 years until he could no longer live with it. Other doctors shied away from it because it was challenging, but not Dr Austin. He and his team did spectacular work rebuilding my son’s elbow. Even after the surgery, Dr Austin took me into one of the side surgical rooms to show me details of the surgery on a white board. He was highly recommended to us by a Dartmouth surgeon in our area, and we couldn’t be happier with the care received. He answered all of our questions and was fantastic throughout the process. He even requested a surgical video from my son’s elbow to show his students. That’s how damaged it was. We highly recommend Dr Austin if you need surgery in his specialization. He has great surgical skills, as well as genuine compassion for his patients.

After being in a motorcycle accident in September 12th 2022, being misdiagnosed mistreated not listened to by other doctors I went to see Dr Austin who was highly highly recommended. I had a grade 3 shoulder separation with other injuries to include torn ligaments Etc. After finally getting the MRI that I know I needed doctor Austin called me one day shortly after the results were in and you could hear a change in his voice and it was care he stated that we we will fix this we're going to devise a plan he explained everything there. I made an appointment to go see him to discuss it further he explained everything in detail it was almost too easy going to see a doctor and having everything laid out for you just like that. He ended up doing surgery on my shoulder December 22nd and it was honestly one of the worst things I've ever gone through in my life as far as pain but I knew the outcome would overshadow anything else that I went through. He was always either a phone call away a… message through the myth portal, or just the next appointment away if I had any questions I never once had any doubt I've never felt so secure going to see a doctor and at the same time to sit down with somebody who's actually a doctor so it actually just feels like you're sitting down with one of your buddies to talk. He's very genuine kind willing to take the time to explain things to show you models and he's in this to help people and I really truly see that. As excited as I am to be a 100% back to normal, I feel and I actually see he is actually equally as excited and to be told that I won't forget you as a patient and as a person too that for me that really hits home because the type of personalized care that you should get you don't really get nowadays and I happen to be the lucky one to get that. I am forever grateful for him just believing in me which in turn was actually just you know doing what he likes to do people. I would highly recommend him to anybody seeking a second third opinion or a first-time visit. He's very thorough easy to understand personable, informative and the list goes on. In my heart Daniel Austin will never get the true amount of recognition that I feel he's solely deserves as a surgeon as a doctor as somebody that works in that hospital. I cannot speak highly enough of him in a sense I'll be sad to not go and see him although recovery from this injury and surgery is my number one goal. He space honestly feels like a friend in a sense. I'm sure I'll end up going to visit him it means that much to me to go to see him just to say hello, and that's over an hour drive I am absolutely willing to do it that means that much to me that he cared enough about me as a person and as a patient to take all the extra time that he has to talk with me to message to help me learn about not only my injury but my body that is also attached to the injury. I really hope he's recognized for his strengths for just who he is, again I cannot speak highly enough I feel very grateful in every way that I managed to cross paths with him and it really truly has changed my life. I want to be better after this accident and I had somebody that really believed in me and understood what what pain does to a person and how they can become better through an injury. Dr Austin is a vital tool to any tool set to any office I am very thankful to have come across such a great doctor fairly close just now around good person, you guys really have one that's worth keeping in that hospitalthank you

My total shoulder replacement was fantastic from start to finish. Only 3 months after, I feel good as new! I couldn’t be happier with the care and results provided by Dr. Austin and his team! I highly recommend him and thank him for the amazing results!

Doctor Austin listened to all my complaints and concerns. Constantly suggested treatments and was very in tune to checking my progress. He was kind, thoughtful and thorough in his job. He and his team made me feel comfortable and heard. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Austin, and will go back to him if ever needed in the future. This man gave me the opportunity to experience painfree days.

Had this surgery before in another hospital! So different! He explained everything. If he didn't know the answers he followed up with his team. He was able to get me in as soon as he could. 6 months after surgery, wow what a difference. I'm excited to see me starting to lead a somewhat normal life. I would recommend him to everybody who needs orthopedic work!

Dr. Austin helped rebuild a 50 year old's detached bicep and bring my use of the arm back to 100%. I wasn't sure that surgery was my best choice until talking it over with Dr. Austin. His work far exceeded any of my expectations. I'm very thankful.

Dr Austin left nothing to question. From the diagnosis explanation, post surgery and all thru recovery Dr Austin stayed very involved and available . Even with my release today at 6 months post op he made me aware he would be available if needed .
