I would have liked to put a 5. However, due to miscommunication, lack of getting back to me when I had major concerns or questions , I was left extremely confused for days. I never give bad ratings ever. Never even take anything back to a store. But I honestly felt like a number more so than an patient alot of times. I know its in this Dr to do way better. I believe he is much better than this. Maybe it was covid stuff, perhaps this establishment has issues with people who have rare mental issues. Maybe they are overworked, and lack time. I don't know . I just felt lost, confused, unsure what I was actually supposed to be doing. It was just awkward and created so much tension and stress trying to understand, ask questions towards the end of treatment. Departments just didn't communicate back and forth through treatment. He'd be a rock star PHD if there was just communication I think. I feel like Carle in itself has major communication issues.

I had prostate cancer. After prostatectomy I still had positive PSA. I was referred to Dr. Barnett for radiation therapy. I find him very personable and genuinely concerned for my care. He listens to my situation and responds with concern and solutions. He designed a treatment regimen of 38 radiations. He met with me weekly during the treatment to address tolerance issues. There was a two week period where he was very pressed for time but it was because the other two oncologists were on vacation and he was covering for them also. I find no fault in him. After the treatment regimen my PSA tested <.01 (which is as good as it can be). I continue to meet with him and retest periodically as all prostate cancer survivors should. I highly recommend him.

He is the consulting radiologist for my mom’s breast cancer. He spent a lot of time helping my mom and our family understand the process of cancer testing and treatment. He has been very compassionate and understanding with my mom’s concerns and has made himself readily available for questions. He is thorough and honest without being harsh. He has been able to see and understand the human element of my mom’s disease, as well as being knowledgeable in consulting on her treatment options.

I absolutely loved him. He was very good at easing my racing mind after being diagnosed with colon cancer. I felt like he spent a lot of time asking questions and listening to concerns. I seen him at a local restaurant about 8 months after my radiation and he recognized me and asked me how I was doing. That made me feel like I was more then just a number. I have given his name to a couple of people who were looking for a radiation oncologist ??

Terrible at maintaining appointments. And when you do get to see him he is constantly worried about his pager and will stop you in mid sentence to excuse himself to make a phone call. He is so preoccupied with other business during appointments I was left wondering why I was even there. During radiation I had to demand skin checks and I was instructed that my wife should be checking me but during my indoc i asked about skin checks and was told not to worry, i would be checked regular and if needed they would tell me when and what to put on the burns. This never happened. Also had the same staff member tell me Flowmax is designed to create loss of bladder control when I had issues.
