Could not have been is better hands this includes Doctor Barrow’s entire staff and the hospital-staff post-op at Emory Hospital.

His mistakes have changed our lives forever. One mistake and nothing will ever be the same again.

Dr. Barrow seems like quite a nice man. Doesn't seem to be particluarly skilled in rare schwannomas like mine. HIs ENT was unimpressive. But this low rating is a function of KARI, his nurse/PA. She is smug, uncaring and curt in every way. Shame on her for having zero regard for patient's physical/emotional condition.

Dr Barrow did a spinal surgery on me last October. He was patient and kind and answered all of my questions. The entire staff was amazing. I would not go to anyone else.

I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm in Daytona Beach and the doctor there said it was in a very tricky place. Dr. Barrow accepted to operate on me, I was air-flighted back to Atlanta and operated on the next day. I have recovered completly and I credit Dr. Barrow for this.

There isn't enough space here to tell about my husbands experience with this man. It was a spinal biopsy that left my husband in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He was rude about the pain my husband was in. The surgery was three hours late because this doctor was late coming back from a confrence abroad. While he was suppose to be doing surgery on my husband I found him in the hall drinking coffee because he was jet lagged. This were his own words to me. So who was doing the biopsy on my husband? The next morning my husband told him he couldn't walk and the good doctor told him that shouldn't happen. We saw him one other time to get the stiches out and he was very rude when my husband cried that he was in pain. He left the room and never came back. I tried to get the before x-rays later and was told they were lost. No we never sued or reported it (although we should have). We waited thinking it would get better. We went to the Mayo clinic and tried many other things… before realizing this was our life now. So I worked two jobs and finished raising my 13 yr. old son alone because his Father was always in so much pain.

I had a blood vessel rupture in my brain. Dr. Barrow was exceptional in repairing and saving me. Upon arrival to the first hospital, I was only given a 10% chance of survival and more than likely with permanent impairment. With Dr. Barrow's surgery and care, I am living a perfectly normal life with no side effects. I would rate him one of the top neurosurgeons in the US and am glad that he is at Emory.
