Summary

Welcome to my Web page. I hope this brief introduction will allow members and future members the opportunity to get to know me a little bit better. I am proud to be part of Kaiser Permanente, an organization that values sharing professional and personal information with its members, and one that values and uses new technologies like the internet.

Biography
I was born and raised in the San Jose Bay area. I attended UC Riverside for two years, and then transferred and continued my undergraduate education in biology and Spanish literature at William Jewell College, a small liberal arts college near Kansas City, Missouri. While in college, I had the opportunity to study overseas in Cordoba, Spain and in Cambridge, England, which sparked an interest in travel that I have to this day. Following college, I spent a few years working with kids in a variety of settings before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. Naturally, I gravitated to pediatrics because of my love for children. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my eight-year old son, and am an active member of my church. I also enjoy traveling and visiting distant family and friends.

About my practice
Because I love to work with kids, being a pediatrician is very rewarding for me. I am honored to be invited into the lives of members and their families, and to share a small part in making sure they grow to be healthy and happy. Also, I love that I get to see them grow and develop into great teens and young adults! As a group, our pediatric department and staff share a dedication to making sure we can help all kids be as healthy as they can be physically, mentally, and spiritually.

How I thrive
I enjoy staying physically and mentally healthy by exercising regularly. I was a collegiate soccer player and still enjoy playing weekly. I am also a runner with aspirations to one day do a marathon. I also enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming, and other outdoor activities. I stay mentally, emotionally, and spiritually grounded by taking an active role in my church and nurturing my own personal faith. I also value my "off" time and strive to refresh and relax as much as possible when not at work. Like many of my patients, I strive to eat healthily on a day-to-day basis, but I do enjoy junk food in moderation. I appreciate Kaiser Permanente's approach to healthy eating and living, and find that discussing health issues on a daily basis with my patients encourages me to be healthier.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
