Dr. Daniel Elwyn Carr, MD

I was a 16 yr old football player in 1991 it was my junior yr and i subluxed my rt shoulder during a game, dr carr kept up with local teams in Huntington wv very well, he layed out what should be done, and explained every aspect of the process, unfortunately my team was beat in semi final game of state championship run, we lost on a Friday evening and monday i received a call from his secretary and was in surgery thursday, i have had several knee operations and other procedures and some have been unsuccessful but the shoulder dr carr repaired has never caused a problem im a former marine so it has been put through the ringer.

Dr. Carr described my quad rupture as a "massive injury" , then proceeded to re-attach all 4 tendons to my left knee. I was running again within 6 months and running All-American times for 5k within a year. Now, 14 years later, my left knee is still problem-free. I will soon be retiring back to Williamsburg, from Los Angeles, and hope Dr. Carr will do the hip replacement I now need due to the 80,000 miles I've run on it! He is the best !! Ritchie Geisel

Not only is Dr. Carr a lovely person, he is an excellent doctor. He is not an elitist and is easy to communicate with. He pays attention to his patients and actually reads their charts! I highly recommend Dr. Carr.

Was referred by two friends who were highly pleased, as was I. He ordered an MRI, diagnosed the problem, ordered physical therapy, which resolved the problem and returned me to 95% normal--good enough for me not to have to have surgery! He was honest, friendly, didn't have that "untouchable" type ego, and is an all-around lovely person who happens to be an M.D.
