Dr. Daniel Chen, MD

Today I asked that they switch me to a different provider after multiple bad experiences with Dr. Chen. The office admin said she'd never heard anything negative about him. Yet even the medical assistants sympathized with my distress. Dr Chen has terrible listening skills. He just doesn't listen. He has no compassion or bedside manner and would be better suited to working in a lab without human interaction. Given the bad reviews over multiple websites, it's clear the facility just doesn't care that he's reflecting poorly on them. The office admin was trying to gaslight me into thinking this was me. When I said I'd been promised I could switch to a different provider, she said I was given misinformation. (This seems to be a recurring problem with them as well.) I think Chen's only concern is to get you approved for Botox so he can bill insurance. He was dismissive about scan results and I had to advocate for another radiologist to re-read the scans.

This guy is so arrogant that he isn't willing to look at other options once he's made an initial diagnosis.

I was recently diagnosed with MS and I’ve left every appointment feeling more upset than when I arrived. He cuts me off whenever I try to talk.

Needed local neurologist for MS. Dr. Chen seems nice enough but obviously has little knowledge of MS. There’s no support during an emergency or after. Appointments are set at 20 minutes - nowhere near enough time to do an MS neurological exam; which Dr. Chen does NOT do. Last two appointments, I waited close to 45 minutes past my appointment time and then felt Dr. Chen rushed me to make up time. Particularly distressing because this was a follow-up appointment from spending a month in hospital from a massive exacerbation. Very sad.

Dr. Chen spent about ten minutes with me on two separate visits. Ii found him to be perfunctory and arrogant. He held up his hand in a "stop" motion when I tried to explain a question on the first visit. He only allowed "yes" or "no" answer when he asked me questions regarding depression and anxiety. He offered no solutions for those problems but did tell me to take Miralax for constipation. I had more anxiety when I left than when I went in. I have changed doctors since then, deciding I shouldn't put myself thru such an ordeal. Dr. Chen's sour demeanor will not serve him well with future patients...

My husband and I both go to Dr Chen and he has helped us with different things over the years.he is a very smart educated doctor .
