Dr easy to ask questions from both of us

Terrible surgeon. And an overall weird person. He would have these little temper tantrums. I remember one time he kicked an elevator door. Not sure how he is employed still. Super condescending and rude to staff and patient family members.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mom who recently had a triple bypass operation under the care of Dr. Daniel Ciaburri. She received excellent care in the CICU following her surgery at UPMC Passavant Hospital and her progress was enhanced by the attention and caring staff at this Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. Ciaburri and his medical staff’s precision during surgery gave my mom, a stroke survivor and a dialysis patient, an opportunity for a stronger heart and better quality of life. Our family was extremely impressed with the attention she received and Dr. Ciaburri’s genuine concern for her. His warm, non-intimidating demeanor and compassion for his patients compliments his medical expertise as a surgeon. His follow up after the critical days, post-surgery, provided us with clear and understandable status updates, review of medications and dosage and expectations for recovery. My mom left the hospital a little over a week after her surgery with minimal pain and… discomfort. 4-Weeks post surgery, she is at home cleaning, shopping and cooking. We were blessed to be in the care of this professional team of doctors and medical staff at UPMC Passavant in the uncertainty of a life-threatening situation. In her words, “I knew from the onslaught when I was under Dr. Ciaburri’s care that I was in the right hands and in the right place at Passavant. Meeting the doctor put me at peace inside.  Dr. Ciaburri instilled in me that he was so skilled in his field but beyond that, he was caring and genuine.  I was so blessed to have him on my side.  I would recommend him to all who are in need for a cardiologist.”

Most arrogant surgeon. Rude to staff, patients, and even colleagues. Can't image why he's still employed.

Bedside manner is extremely abrupt. Personality is dry. Answers questions in a vague manner. Makes one feels as if being looked at in a condescending manner. Family members are completely ignored if too many questions are asked.
