Dr. Marjorie Sue Fridkin, MD

While on vacation at Deep Creek Lake my son had an issue with stuck food in his esophagus, once it was determined he needed endoscopic removal Dr. Fridkin was in charge of his care. She was excellent. She came and took the time and discussed the procedure prior to taking him down to the OR, the risks, why she thought it was needed and even possible underlying causes for a problem. We were not rushed in any way and she was sure we were comfortable with all the information before proceeding. After the procedure she took us to a room away from the waiting room and again in detail discussed the procedure, showed us pictures taken during the procedure the help explain what she thought was going on. She then phoned a few days later with results of tests that were taken, I had missed the initial call but she left her office number and even her cell phone if I missed her during office hours. When I called back she was available right away and facilitated getting all information to my son's PCP… and said she would be calling them to speak to them directly to review everything. I wish all physicians were as kind, caring and skilled as Dr. Fridkin.
