The worst. He doesn't listen. Interrupts when you speak. Can't handle ANY questions about care. I would never recommend him to anyone. Stay away!

I injured my knee and he horribly diagnosed my knee and had me walking on a fractured leg for two months because he didn’t take the time to look carefully at the x-rays. Now as I should be enjoying my summer and b be heathy I am recovering from the further damage he caused my knee.

I went to him when I first fractured my right clavicle in 2008. I told him that I played sports all year round and that I would prefer to have my bone reset since my mother found him to be the best orthopedic surgeon and that he reset broken bones all the time. He wouldnt reset it and the reason that he gave me was as to why he wouldn't do it was because he 'doesn't want me to have a scar because then I wouldn't be able to wear dresses without it being to noticeable.' I informed him that I was a tomboy and I never wore dresses anyway. After a few months of letting it heal on it's own, I complained of constant pain and loss of range of motion that kept me from excelling in sports. I asked him again if he could reset it and the answer he gave me that time was 'No because I'm the doctor and you are not.' He never even sent me to physical therapy after it healed. Since he was the best doctor at the time, I never question it and figured he was the doctor and knew best. To this day, because… my body is slightly shifted downward on my right side, it has affected me in numerous ways with constabt injuries and pain and it took me out of sports as well. I wouldn't recommend any woman to go to him, your life would be impacted greatly especially if you're an athlete. I know men who go to him now and he provides the best care and givs helpful information and clear reasoning as to everything that he does and does everything that he can to make their life normal again.

Arrogant, dismissive, does not listen, cares about what he can bill for - not what is best for the pt. There are procedures he does not do, so he insists you have one he DOES do. Iffy charachter. And, he is simply a mediocre surgeon. There are plently other's - choose one of them.

DiChristina and his staff - they don't come any better.

Dr Dichristina was incomplete in his diagnosis of my shoulder, he insisted I had only bone spurs, however I also had a S.L.A.P. Year to my rotator cuff. He was not timely in the follow up after the MRI, CAT scan, the calls were over 7 days after the tests were completed. Dr. Dichristina was also animate about doing open shoulder surgery, and when questioned why not arthroscopic he insisted it would not work, but with no clear explanation why open was the correct course. After looking in to the open surgery, I discovered that there is greater risk (of infection) more pain and a much longer recovery period ~6 months. I received a second opinion and had the bone spurs and the SLAP tear repaired/anchored and am now pain free.
