Dr. John Joseph Cambareri, MD

I immediately felt confident in Dr Cambareri. I have big problems with my knee and he gave me relief with a shot. He took the time to fully inform me of my options and together we mapped out the treatment I will need.

I had an appointment with Dr. Cambareri last week. I felt it was a good visit. He listens to you and explains what is going on. He gives you the pros and cons of different treatments and does not pressure you into one or the other. At this time I only needed a Cortisone Injection and have received some relief from the pain in my shoulder. Dr. Cambareri always spends quality time with his patients.

Dr.Cambareri is knowledgeable and explains everything he is doing. Is very kind & compassionate about you as a patient and his practice

The doctor operated successfully on my husband to replace his knee . IF that would have been the extent of his care it would have been great. However, He failed to warn us of complications which resulted in my husband having to endure a second procedure less than 2 months later. The doctor failed to do a through history and never noticed that his kidney medication were contraindicated by the pain pills the doctor prescribed. When he was informed that this was a problem he was incredulous that we as non-medical people learned what he didn't know. The third thing was unprofessional in any medical person. When my husband had the second procedure he came out into the waiting room to discuss his medical status with me in front of a room full of strangers without any regard to confidentiality. I could not ever recommend this man to work on anyone.

Dr. Cambareri is an excellent doctor. My daughter and I have used his services when needed over the past 30 plus years and recommend him highly.

Dr. Cambareri is a caring and very knowledgeable doctor. Takes time to listen to his patients; reviews all their records and makes sound recommendations. He's a great doctor!

My experience with Dr. Cambareri was very unprofessional. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt being very familiar with the busy scheduling of doctors, but he was not patient-centered at all. He was not aware of my MRI and I tried to inform him this was done, what was shown, and that his staff had the images, but he did not want to hear anything I had to say. He did not seem to present any issues of hearing loss but left the room within 5 minutes of our booked appointment (walking away as we were still speaking). I normally would not write a review on this sort of issue, but this often the circumstance of our visits, so I am led to believe that this he is work ethics and professional mannerisms with his client. I am not stating that he needs to be the best listening, most well mannered, empathetic orthopedic surgeon there is, but it would have been nice to be treated with respect, and build a trusting relationship with someone you may plan to conduct your surgery. Instead, I… often felt belittled and rushed, I do not want to draw conclusions as he does not know his client's work practice, but only what is physically present. I would not recommend Dr. Cambareri if you prefer your doctor to be familiar with your case before going under the knife.

I only gave him one star because I guess I had to give him something. One of the worst experiences ever. Did not want to listen to anything I had to say. Became angry at my questions and accused me of not listening to him or not hearing him. The only reason I put up with this horrible treatment was because I did not want to make my wonderful husband feel uncomfortable. Rude, unprofessional. Just awful. Would never recommend him.

I was injured at work. Had pain in both knees and lower back. Went to urgent care and then was sent to SOS ( I have seen may physicians at SOS and have had very positive experiences ). Although I was not familiar with Dr. Camberari due to the positive experiences I have had in the past at SOS , I figured why not? I brought my xrays from Urgent care to the appointment. He spent less than 5 minutes with me. The exam was minimal. He told me if I were an NFL player he would order an MRI today and most likely be doing surgery the next day....but since I am not no need....I have arthritis and it "will just take time to heal" I also had a red warm hard streak on one of my legs that was very painful....he said " that's a hematoma " When I told him I was a nurse and felt it was phlebitis ( I have had phlebitis before ).....he became very irritated and told me it was a hematoma. He did not want to hear a word I had to say. I explained that I was going to a vascular specialist tomorrow....his… response" well we will see what the vascular specialist has to say" He never even examined my back but gave me a muscle relaxer. After seeing the vascular specialist I was diagnosed with phlebitis and thrombophlebitis..... A surgeon who is unwilling to listen to their patients and can not tell the difference between a blood clot and a bruise !!!! Worst experience ever !!!!
