Dr. Daniel Joseph Emerson, MD

Having been dealing with an issue for 6+ months, I had great hopes for my appointment. Imagine my frustration when I was basically told “just wait it out, or deal with it.” It was jarring. Right off the bat he seemed dismissive and like his main concern was getting me out of the office. The majority of the appointment seemed like an uphill battle of me trying to convince him that my concerns were real, as was my pain. Most concerns I had were batted away as “you’re too young for that,” despite personally knowing people who underwent similar issues at even younger ages. In fact, he went as far as to say, very flatly, “you’ve tried everything, I don’t have better news for you,” even though I had just explained a handful of things I hadn’t tried. Upon further investigation into other reviews of Dr. Emerson, I noticed this “too young” explanation and dismissiveness was not unique to my experience.

Very pleased with Dr Emerson.

A very knowledgeable doctor wonderful in his field

Dr. Emerson is sooooo wonderful! He is very thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. He LISTENED to me, all of it and rechecked things based on what i said when i injured my arm. He is currently treating my son for a knee injury and he came out to the waiting room when he saw me and with just a few words he reassured us both and ensured we'd see him on follow up. He truly cares about his patients and goes out of his way to make sure they are good and taken care of.

I saw Dr. Emerson for hip pain. I had a fair amount of arthritis and he suggested hip replacement. The surgery went well and I was very happy with the result. Earlier this year my shoulder was causing me a lot of pain, so of course I saw Dr. Emerson again. The surgery went well. There was a lot of muscle damage that didn't show on the x-rays, so he spent extra time and repaired the damage. My shoulder is now in great shape. Again I am very happy with the result. He spent enough time with me to answer my questions and checked on me after the surgery a few times. At follow-up appointments he checked my progress with my physical therapy. I would not hesitate to see Dr. Emerson if my arthritis catches up with me again in the future. Great doctor.

I have had Dr. Emerson for a while. I had to wear a brace on my hand for 16 years then I saw him and he did surgery on my hand and now I am free of the brace. He also did surgery on my shoulder and it is doing good. I would recommend this doctor to anyone.

This man should not be practicing medicine. The worst doctor that I have ever met in my life. My husband hurt his back at work and this man said that the line needed to be drawn sometime and only gave my husband 3 months to heal, did not order an MRI, did not order work conditioning/hardening, just sent my husband on his way. My husband still has issues with his back. I would not send anyone or anything to this man. Don't waste your time, go elsewhere.
