Dr. Daniel Kamal Fahim, MD

Just over a year or so, Dr. Fahim went into my left side and behind my stomach and fused the front of my spine. Two days later he went into my back and fused the back of my spine. I received some rehab and also seen a doctor at Beaumont who tested me as to any pain and where it was coming from. I was assured that any pain I had was not coming from my back. I was most impressed with Dr. Fahim taking time during my visits to insure all my questions were answered. I was also taken care of by his Physician Assistant who was very professional. I would not hesitate to refer any of my friends to Dr. Fahim.

Three months ago I had a L4-5 fusion. Day after surgery I stood up and the pain was gone. Before surgery I was looking for the nearest place to sit whenever I had to walk more than 50 yards, now I walk on average 5 miles per day. I am back to enjoying life. It's a gradual recovery as I don't want to regress to where I was.

Very arrogant. He did a L4-5 fusion. I was in more pain after the surgery than before. Twice I ended up back in the ER for emergency pain management and when I was still in pain months after the surgery, he told me that the images are "text book perfect" and that my brain has convinced me that I am in pain so that's why I feel pain all the time. I am going back into surgery with a different surgeon who will fix what Dr. Fahim did incorrectly and ignored.

Any Dr. That has a mri of a c6/c7 fractured verterbra . And tells me that nothing WARRENTS SURGERY, OR CAUSING PAIN .. then find out same mri shows the fracture.. REALLY ..... u shouldn't be a Dr if u wont fix that ...

I had surgerys for my back in 2015. I am pain free now, feel like I been born again. How blessed and lucky I am to have Dr Fahim as my Surgion. Paul K

Dr Fahim did a spinal fusion on my lower back. When I address that I am still in a lot of pain;he implied that I may be depressed and that may explain where my brain thinks I’m in pain. He offered me anti depressants. I told him I’m not depressed;just frustrated. I believe this to be very unethical. He said my test results came back perfectly fine. They may look fine but I definitely have nerve pain and total stiffness daily. My pain is real. I have spinal stenosis.

Spent little time with me. Clearly did not review chart prior to appointment as usual with Beaumont Doctors, the surgery is very good and follow up is missing or dangerous

Dr Fahim's staff is the best. Never had such great care.

I suffered from severe lower back pain for years. The neurosurgeon I had seen previous to finding Dr. Fahim told me there was nothing she could do and I would basically need to live with it. I left her office in tears and was ready to give up and do just that. However I decided to try seeing another doctor that specialized in my condition and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Fahim listened, was kind, compassionate and had confidence that he could help. He performed a spinal fusion with Discectomy and gave me a new lease on life. There is no way I could ever express my gratitude. If you have spine problems, I highly recommend him. I am surprised another patient described him as arrogant. He is highly intelligent and very soft spoken.

Dr. Fahim is arrogant. He addressed symptoms I did not have and based his decision on that. Dr. Fahim did NOT address the symptoms I did/do have as he spoke and did not listen. I suppose he never learned that " if you listen to a patient long enough they will tell you what is wrong with them." My hope for Dr. Fahim is that he learns to serve his patients properly in the future.
