Dr. Daniel P Fisher, PhD

I saw Dr Fisher for seventeen years and the best compliment I can give him is that I was finally able to “leave the nest”. He was very patient with my reluctance to leave the bad stuff behind me. Even though it was unhealthy to stay “stuck” I knew I had the support I needed to learn new ways of thinking and giving myself credit for making my journey so far. I found him to be encouraging and insightful, always ready to help me to find answers. He would share articles that would give more light on subjects for which I was l needing help. He encouraged me to take baby steps in the problems I faced—monumental or simple problems—like fixing my house or my remote car thingie. Not once did he act superior or entitled. He was very attentive and when he said he’d call back he did. When finances became difficult he made an arrangement so I could still make my appointments. He created an environment that was both comfortable and entertaining. I felt that I was talking with a friend… who never judges. He works with children as well and I found the games and toys charming. I think I was feeling immature/left out because my inner child delighted in these things. Several times teenagers and their parents popped in just to say hello and thank him for the great help he rendered to the child and the family. His calmness is infectious. No more feeling like a deer in the headlights when everyday stresses consumed me. I would give him 10 stars if I could.
