Dr. Daniel Peter Gaposchkin, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Gaposchkin for close to 20 years. I have always been impressed with the time and attention he provides to me. While fortunately my visits have largely been just annual reviews, he always takes the time to review my history and fully understand me. He takes a genuine interest in my condition and concerns. He provides great feedback and advice. Top notch!

Over the past 10 years I have treated w/Dr. Gaposhkin for conditions that range from minor irritations, to serious medical issues (including two major surgeries @ MGH this year alone). At every turn Dr Gaposhkin has held my full confidence & has never faltered in his ability to diagnose, treat & heal. He listens carefully and has the kind of range in knowledge that you want your doctor to have (especially when you are sick &/or have serious injuries). After a decade of treatement, I can say without hesitation, & with 100% certainty that Dr. Gaposhkin, his RN, his PA, Admins & the entire support staff @ MGH Med Group are professional; compassionate, knowledgeable; qualified & skilled medical professionals. ?????

The most arrogant, rude, and unprofessional medical doctor I have ever encountered. He misdiagnosed both of my boys. One was very severely injured and ignored all the necessary signs to get him the treatment he need to get him on the road to recovery. After 3 months since his accident he finally found a great PCP along with a great neurologist NO THANKS TO GAPOSCHKIN!! Misdiagnosed my other son, who needed hip surgery. Looked at his XRay and said it was fine. We took the XRay to a specialist with the XRay that he took and the specialist saw the tear in his hip immediately. He should not have a license to practice and I only hope no one else gets misdiagnosed by this arrogant person. We all left!!!!

I was in a bad accident where I hit my head hard and lost multiple teeth and had extreme cuts on my face. After the accident a few weeks afterwards I complained to Dr. Gaposchkin that I was feeling more anxious than I ever had in my life. After going to visit him, he spent all but 5 minutes with me and suggested I take an anti-depressant. After two days on the medication, I hated the effects and told him I would no longer take the anti-depressant. I told him I was having vertigo experiences and he continued to have my heart checked but not once did he ever look at my head for a concussion. He told me if I didn't want to take the anti-depressants and didn't trust his judgement that I should find a new primary care doctor. So I called his bluff and found a new primary care, who's first suggestions were that we check for a concussion. I was referred to a concussion center and diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome and they requested an immediate brain MRI and to start physical therapy.… Dr. Gaposchkin never even thought to check for a concussion and ignored all the signs I showed of a severe concussion. I would not recommend this guy to anyone after this experience.

This doctor is one of the best I've ever seen. Patient, asks plenty of the right questions, on time and thoroughly. Even when he needs to refer you to a specialist, it's always one of the best out there.

I almost laughed at the comments of rude. After 5 years of seeing him he has been nothing but kind and interested in helping . That includes refering me to other Docs when he felt they would help more. Very large office that offers relaxation while you wait which has never seemed long or late.

Dr. Gaposchkin is a sensitive, caring physician. I have been his patient for 4 years, and my parents are also in his care. He has been great in area's of asthma, anxiety management, and general health care. He takes his patients seriously, and listen's attentively. My parents love him as well. While he is very handsome, he has never come off as arrogant. I am not sure what that other person keeps posting about. I would describe him as kind and interested in his patients.

Dr. Gaposchkin was the only doctor on call and fit me into his schedule after Christmas 2011. He spent all the time needed to diagnose my problem and was exceeding pleasant and helpful. He is professional and knowledgable. Great doctor!
