Dr. Daniel Ghiyam, MD

I was a satisfied patient for about 10 years, but lost confidence due to a misdiagnosis and down-hill spiral in overall all care when medical issues became more than routine. The Dr.'s P.A. diagnosed my painful swollen foot of 2 months as a heart condition, referring me to a cardiologist. Dr. Ghiyam was annoyed at my return visit 3 weeks later, with worsening foot pain, supporting his P.A. An ER visit 1 month later determined I suffered a stress fracture (2 breaks)! During this time as my blood sugar and cholesterol reached abnormal levels, my request for pharmaceutical medication was refused, instead, kept me on useless $75 bottle of "dietary supplements." These bottles are the first item a patient views upon entering his office. His reception staff (Cindy) can be either nice, or horrible, and hang up. About 2 months ago suffered a UC flare up which involves severe rectal bleeding. The GI I was referred to was non-responsive and my care involved determining my treatment and… medicating myself. Cindy approved a routine GI second opinion, which would involve a 1 month delay in care. Cindy's response was to refuse my request for an urgent referral and hung up on me, sparking Regal/Anthem's response of forcing Dr. Ghiyam to change the referral to "urgent." That night Dr. Ghiyam called stating, "if you ever complain to the insurance company again, I will end the Doctor patient relationship!" He was not interested in how ill I was due to continued blood loss, only explained how angry he was over this issue, defending Cindy's behavior and kept asking if "I wanted him to find me another primary physician!" The next morning I was in the ER due to blood loss and the physician changed the GI referral to "expedite," and ensured I had an appointment the next day. relationship!"

From a doctor that does not care or listen, rude staff, long wait times, dirty office building and it takes forever to book a appointment

Dr Ghiyam is a warm, friendly doctor. He has a great bedside manner, he always makes me laugh.

Looking for a great doctor? Dr. Ghiyam is that Doctor. He's personable, caring and listens to what you. He is a great diagnostician who nails your ailment and treats efficiently. He honestly cares about you and your family. I have been seeing Dr. Ghiyam for many, many years. You could say, in a manner of speaking, he saved my life! My whole family see's him. Would never consider anyone else.

Good doctor, however seems quick to prescribe. Medical billing needs to figure out what they're doing there.

I think in a past life Dr Ghiyam was a D.I. (us old farts know that is a drill instructor-those of us that are vets-the rest your vocabulary just increased) my meds have decreased by 50% in one year. My weight is stable He is the Best

I found Dr. Ghiyam to be a highly proficient and talented doctor. Without fail, he has accurately diagnosed and effectively treated all my healthcare needs. He is a doctor that I can always count on and trust with not only my healthcare needs but also those of my children. These days, it is rare to find a doctor of this high of caliber!--capable, skilled and compassionate.

New to the area. Came in as a walk in and I was able to be squeezed in. While waiting in the waiting room noticed how happy most of the patients were and what a good friendly relationship they seem to have with the staff and spaecially the doctor. He told me that most patients were regular patients even though they have an urgent care sign. Very handsome and friendly in person. Glad I walked in

Very friendly front office. I liked how I was able to email my forms to him for my first visit and cut down on paper work at the office. Wait time was longer than stated time, but he took his time with me and went over my whole history and was very knowledgeable. I actually brought up some embarrassing issues on my first visit that I didn't feel comfortable with my previous doctor. Hope he's not too good to be true.
