MAYBE THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE DR HAMMOND PRACTICING IN THE KISSIMMEE / ORLANDO AREA? I SAW "DR HAMMOND" IN ORLANDO AND HE WAS IN NO WAY ARROGANT OR RUDE OR SLAMMING DOORS ETC. HE WAS A DOCTOR WHO CONSIDERED WAYS OF HELPING PATIENTS GET HEALTHY WITHOUT TAKING 10-20 DIFFERENT MEDS. I WOULDN'T SAY DR HAMMOND WAS THE "BEST MEDICAL DR. THAT I EVER SAW, BUT HE WAS DEFINITELY THE BEST DOCTOR I EVER SAW THAT WAS INTERESTED IN HELPING PEOPLE GET HEALTHY BY TEACHING THEM LIFESTYLES CHANGES TO OVERCOME THEIR ISSUES.

Poor service. To short of time

I have been a patient since 2011 and have witnessed absolutely nothing like the claims in these reviews. Dr Hammond has been great. He takes time to talk to me in depth about my medical issues and on a more personal note, was very kind and sympathetic when there was a death in my family. I havn't only seen him a handful of times a year, I see him on a monthly basis... and don't know of many people who would tolerate a bad physician if you had to see them that frequently. I certainly couldn't. I don't wish to dismiss someone's experience, because surely they aren't all faked. Yet I feel compelled to point out that anyone with sour grapes could leave as many bad review's for as long as they wished- and his longer term patients (i.e. more exposure ), are saying the opposite. I will also add that the staff are accommodating. I have a little one, and sometimes have to rearrange my appointment time based on scheduling conflicts. They've always been nice about it and have found a… way to fit me in. And I mean, every single time.

I appreciate a no-nonsense physician; one who takes a serious approach toward my health and that of my wife. I don't need to be coddled by a quack. This doctor is top notch in his field of family practice and aging. I appreciate his honesty, his candor, and I especially appreciate the fact that he isn't in league with the pharmaceutical companies. If I could give him another star, I would ...

This doctor is arrogant and thinks he is better than you. My first visit with him was my last! My appointment was to establish myself as a new patient and instead of introducing himself, he walked in to the exam room without knocking, without any type of greeting, and never made eye contact with me. My first impression was to get up and walk out and I should have gone with my gut. He marched straight to the counter and still without looking up asked me what I was there for. When I explained I was a new patient he asked me for my medical files and when I told him I did not have them with me he started yelling at me that he can't help me if he doesn't have this information. When I asked him who he thought he was talking to me in that tone, he exploded (again) and told me to leave. He certainly did not have to ask me twice! With pleasure I left and never looked back. Would I recommend this doctor? Absolutely not! Beware...he is a self-righteous pompous jerk.

Dr, walks into exam room, never introduces himself. I told hi. I was suffering from what I thought was heartburn. He never asked anything about when it started, (recently), I had just had surgery and he didn't even listen. Told me that his patients should stop playing doctor, and I may not have heartburn. (it could have been a heart attack). Told me he recommends urinalysis, upper and lower GI, EkG (just done due to surgery), blood work, etc. at a cost of $$$$. Wouldn't prescribe even previcid or anything to ease my pain. He did however, recommend That I go to the vitamin shop/ health food store and buy 4 things to help. I asked the girl at the health food store told me Dr. Hammond OWNS it.... What a joke he is. Will never step foot in his office again. Would report him.

Dr. Hammond is my wife's primary care. She went in with nausea and dehydration. He would not give her an IV for fluids. Since she would not go to the hospital, rather had the Physician Nurse at the walk-in clinic give her one, he slammed the door and announced loudly that she was not his patient anymore. He has a very bad bedside manner. Would not recommend him for my friends and family.

Switched insurances and Dr. Hammond was close to home. Am now willing to drive further to find a good doctor. Dr. Hammond is set in his ways and feels if you have a thyroid problem there is only one medication out there and it's Armour Thyroid. I had my thyroid radiated out many years ago and was put on Levothyroxine. When visiting this doctor and having bloodwork, he stated my thyroid levels were off. I had been feeling fine. He decided he would change my thyroid medication to armour thyroid that measures T3. Well fine and good as long as it worked. Every time my T3 level was tested it was off. He continued to increase the Armour Thyroid causing me major mood swings. It took awhile for me to discover what was happening with my body and that my mood stablizers had to be increased with each increase of Armour Thyroid. I was now taking double the mood stablizers with no cap on how much he was going to continue increasing this Armour thyroid. I put my foot down and said I… can't take this. He said then stop taking it and threw his arms up in the air. I can't fix you. I said I can't stop taking thyroid meds as I don't have any thyroid function. Therefore, he put me back on what I had been on but referred me to an Endo. Since seeing the Endo, my thyroid dosage of Levothyroxine is the same as when I started seeing Dr. Hammond. Every doctor I've spoken with does not measure T3. Will be switching primary care doctors. He made me sick when I wasn't sick. This went on for months.The man is also dismissive and does not want to listen to you. Set in his ways.

First I am a very patient person and understand things can take time when it comes to medical needs. HOWEVER here is my experience. I changed insurance so I had to find a doc in my network and Dr Hammond's office was close to home so i went with him. My first initial visit was scheduled for 9:15 and I had to wait 2 hours to see him. There was minimal discussion as far as my medical history just a simple statement of "Go" What is your problem. Total time with him as a first time new patient was approx 6 minutes.I tried to explain what issues I deal with and everyone was quickly dismissed. I take medication for anxiety and panic attacks which has been controlled with medication for the past 7 years. It is not a high dose and I am not someone that is asking my doctors to increase the dose, it has been the lowest dose since the day I started taking it. His only response regarding the panic attacks was, and in a not so nice tone, "Why do you have them". Of course I don't know, they just… happen. He asked about my prior kidney stone issues, which were over 10 years ago, and asked what type they were and when I told him I have no idea I was not told by previous doctors he just put me down for not knowing. After repeated requests for a week to get a refill for my prescription and getting the run around that it would be refiled, in which case It was not, I went down to the office to find out what the problem was as far as getting a refill and was told that Dr Hammond would not refill it. There was no discussion with Dr Hammond and my self as to why not, only that he wanted to prescribe something else, which he never talked to me about in either of the 2 appointments I had with him, If there is something better then I am open to working with him to try, but no discussion at all. When asked what does he want to change it to the assistant said she did not know what he was going to change it to.NOW Let's add insult to injury, when I first saw Dr Hammond I informed him of internal pain in the area of my appendix. He simply stated well it could be a couple different issues and I needed to see a Gastroenterologist, Fine, however After waiting 3 or 4 day s without hearing anythihng as far as the referral they were supposed to set up for me and doing some research on my own as far as the doc they were supposed to refer me to, I called back and said I had found another Doc and asked them to send the referral there. The doc they were going to refer me to also has a very bad rating. As a side note which leads to another issue I would up in the emergency room from the pain in the area around the appendix. Unfortunately they ran a ct scan and came back saying they did not see anything, After having another radiologist re read the scan he determined there were some serious issues going on. He also asked what certain levels were on my recent blood test.This led to the issue that really upset me. At first visit Dr Hammond ordered blood tests which I did the same day and scheduled a follow up to go over the results.When I showed up and had to wait an hour to see him The first question from him was "Why are you here" DUHH Follow up to go over blood work results.After he found the results he informed me that everything was normal. Not by going over each test and explaining the result but by quickly scanning the results and just saying that's ok that's ok and that's ok but never mentioning what exactly was ok. Great news right? WRONG, come to find out after going back to the office to get a record of my results for the radiologist to look at it turns out that they had someone Else's results in my chart and the staff had to print out my results which were not all ok. GGRRRRRR!!!Just my opinion, you can certainly go see him if you want but I can not wait to get a new family doc.

Seeked out this provider for his bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) specialist listing. I was looking to make him my Primary Care physician, as well. He is NOT a specialist in BHRT, I knew more than he did from basic research. I am 28 and not menopausal, but have imbalanced hormones and sexual dysfunctions my goal was to ask if there were BHRT options for me while having some form of contraception. Dr. Hammond openly admitted His education on BHRT did not extend that far. His only recommendations for contraception were IUD, and asking if my husband would consider getting (and I quote) snipped. He didnt want to take my blood, but then turns around and prescribes me some Estriol cream to rub on, without telling me what any side effects are. I told him I was already using some Premarin topically, and he made the sign of the cross at me and laughed..and then didnt explain himself?! He was very uncomfortable talking about feminine anatomy and in order to possibly prescribe… another topical cream, Dr. Hammond wanted me to visit the compound pharmacy and talk to the female pharmacist first, see if she could describe to me what the cream is for and how to apply it, and then contact him for a prescription! Are you kidding me? I am supposed to make a separate trip, and talk to a stranger about things a professional MD gets paid to talk to me about? I was so flustered at this point in the appt, that I decided to dismiss the whole subject and ask one more question about a possible sinus infection. Keep in mind, this entire time, the Dr. has not so much as shook my hand or been within 5 feet of my body. I explained where the pressure and pain in my face was so Dr. Hammond walks up to me, and taps my face in 1 spot and then walks away and starts telling my about a natural nasal spray that gets rid of fungus, that I can get at a health food store. He did not check my throat, nose, ears NOTHING. I bit my lip to keep from crying, and the doctor just smiled and opened the door to usher me out. This was a horrible waste of my time. I left that office confused, uninformed, and swept under the rug. Trust your health and care to someone who. cares about your health.
