Daniel Kaplin

I was a patient of Dr. Kaplin for approximately 3-4 years. During that time he would spend the session talking about his personal life (and would even hold me after the session to talk about his life)- which included his sex life, women he found attractive, having attractive students at the college he taught at, and his divorce. He would make fun of his ex-wife who has BPD and how terrible of a patient those diagnosed with BPD are. Also- after being his patient for those years, he completely stopped answering my requests for a follow up appointment with no explanation- which is quite literally patient abandonment. There was a lot of countertransference and he would even text me outside of sessions and flirt with me. I would NOT recommend him as a therapist to anyone
