Dr Laby has taken wonderful care of my son and I wouldn't go to anyone else. Not sure what these other reviews are saying - but they must have a chip on their shoulder!

Avoid this doctor at all cost! He should not be around human beings - let alone your children! Worst bedside manners! See him at your own risk!

I can't believe his office is closed! Does anyone know where to get our files? Im sure someone has either sued his pants off or something bcuz there is one other explanation for this irresponsible unpofessonal behavior. I recently brought my child to another opthamologist bcuz her eye sight has been getting progressively worse in the last year or so....well come to find out she has a very mature cataract in her eye...the new doc can't believe she wasn't operated on earlier......Guess he wasn't as good as I thought.I trusted this guy with my kids precious eye sight and one needs immediate surgery and I have to have all my kids rechecked. ....wait til I find out where this guy is at.....lawsuit city quaranteed!

My son has been a patient of Dr. Laby for 13 years and I was quite surprised when I went to his scheduled eye exam and found that he had closed his office. I cannot believe that we were not notified of this. I guess loyalty doesn't mean anything to Dr. Laby. It took me forever to track down where my son's records were sent. I am quite disgusted!!!

Terrible! Closed his practice and left all his files unorganized. With out notifying patients. Unprofessional. You should not be able to practice anywhere else.

Dr Laby was not the problem. The largest problem at that office is his desk help ( Ricki ). I brought my daughter in for a routine eye exam. At the time of booking provided them with her health insurance information. I checked in, no problems. We had our appointment and when checking out Ricki told me that they never ran my insurance prior which was neglect on their end. Also that my visit was not covered. I gave her the insurance info again and never heard from them. 6 weeks later I receive a bill. I called and spoke to the rude sarcastic Ricki and she insisted I pay. After a large argument she said she would send me to collections. I feel that everyone has a job and when you drop the ball you need to be held accountable. You do not tell the customer AFTER their appointment that Dr Laby does not take our eye insurance. Such unprofessionalism. We will never return and I am letting my pediatricians office know about this and they should rethink their referrals to this practice. Being in… the medical profession myself, I am completely disgusted. Dr Laby, just some advice.....drop the lady Ricki at the front desk!

There are many crazy people on the web and they don't speak for the thousands of us happy patients! Yes, the office can be tough sometimes - but it is well worth the care we get and the personal concern Dr Laby shows for his patients. Dr Laby spends as long as is needed with each and every patient. In fact he has spent a great deal of extra time with me and my son on several occasions - definitely delaying others - but each patient is given his due! If you want Jack in the box, then go to another doctor. Dr Laby is a Professor at Harvard Medical School, and is the eye doctor for several professional baseball and basketball teams - if he is good for them, then I want my son to see him also. The office does not put up with crap and treats everyone fairly - I couldn't imagine taking my son to see anyone else and hope all the complainers on the web go away so I can spend more time with my (and my son's) favorite doctor!

I am a healthcare provider myself and I have never met a more arrogant and condescending physician. He was sarcastic and made me feel like he was doing me a favor even seeing my son. He actually suggested that my eight year old, very cooperative and sweet little boy has a major psychological disorder!!!!!! We made an appointment for blurry vision not for a 5 minute psychological evaluation. Terrible experience.
