Dr. Daniel Raymond Lattanzi, MD

Dr. Lattanzi was my OB/GYNE during both high risk, late in life pregnancies of my daughters 15/16 years ago. My first pregnancy I battled pneumonia and high blood pressure. My 2nd pregnancy I had pneumonia, gestational diabetes, high blood pressure and my daughter gave him concerns all throughout my 3rd trimester to where he prescribed me to be at the hospital 3x a week for non stress tests and 1x a wee for a sonogram that monitored her movement, breathing, heartbeat and muscle reaction. I also had dehydration from the diabetes and Braxton hicks giving false labor pains for the last 2 weeks. She was stuck in my pelvis during the last trimester and he knew after trouble delivering my 1st daughter I would not be able to deliver my 2nd vaginally. He delivered a my 9lb 12ounce baby right on time. The nurses woke me up at 2am because she was so jaundice she was 1 point away from brain damage. They took excellent care of her, keeping her on a billirubin table until we left the hospital. I… was able to pump milk for her and they made sure she stayed hydrated and a full tummy. She did have a heart murmur that was discovered at 2years old. She was missing the wall between the upper two chambers of her tiny heart and had surgery when she was 3. I will always wonder if her heart defect was from me being on Cymbalta for fibromyalgia & depression at the beginning of her pregnancy. I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant a 2nd time without the fertility clinics help in Penn hills, pa but I did and they girls have had each other close in age all these years. Some people misunderstand my gratitude towards Dr. Lattanzi for his care and professionalism during my pregnancies and I resent that. A certain Doula has had too much criticism of my “word of mouth” advertising and appreciation. But that’s Pittsburgh women for ya. Dr. Lattanzi has made an amazing impact on thousands of live here and in Haiti. Him and his wife are a wonderful team with big hearts. I admire his wife for supporting him throughout his career while raising their own large family. Thank you for everything. God entrusted you with my miracles and I can see why!

Dr. Lattanzi is the greatest gynecologist in the world. I have been his patient since I was a teenager and I never want to have to try to find a diferent doctor.

Wouldn't go to anyone else. Have been a patient for over 35 years, as have several of my family members.

My wife is 22 weeks pregnant. Dr. Lattanzi is the most optimistic doctor you could have. Great guy to talk with and super easy going! This is our 1st child and we will choose this guy again without question with our future babies.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lattanzi's for over twenty years - he delivered my first son. He is a super - wonderful doctor. Recently, my insurance changed to a Highmark plan that they don't accept. So, now I have to transfer to another ob/gyn and I'm very upset about it. I'm going to miss him and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Lattanzi was the second gyne that I have ever visited and will hopefully remain as my doctor. It will depend on whether he is able to continue seeing Highmark patients. Here is a physician who cares about his patients, listens well and provides you with the information that you need. He is the best!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lattanzi for about 7 years. My sister passed away from ovarian cancer (under the care of another Dr.). He has been so wonderful in screening me every 6 months and authorizing the needed screening tests for prevention. Recently, I went for my 6 months and we were talking and he noticed in my file that I had received a tick bite when I traveled to Eastern Europe (a trip I make once a year). He spoke with me at length about ticks and encephalitis borne ticks in the region. He is a tropical medical specialist, as well. I doubt many doctors would have picked up on that from my file. I have been Dr. Lattanzi's patient for 30 years now. He delivered my son, got me through cervical cancer, and gave me smooth sailing through menopause. His staff is helpful and courteous always, he returns your calls and always has time to talk with you, listen and advise without running his other patients behind or cutting anyone short. His bedside manner is to die for, he is so caring and kind and stays up to date with medicine. I will not see anyone else, he is simply the best!
