Dr. Daniel P Leonard, DO

I couldn’t be more grateful or pleased that it was Dr. Leonard who walked in the room when my mother was at Saint Elizabeth hospital for brain surgery for a subdural hematoma. #1 observation: he *listened* to my mom. #2: he paid attention to my mom, and *also* to what information I had to share so he could develop the best understanding of the situation. #3: he immediately felt like that friend who doesn’t judge, but just wants to be there for you...except he’s a doctor! And he wants nothing more but to use his knowledge, training, and experience to *help*!! While he was asking important questions, they felt very casual and very caring. He naturally added his humor in a way that absolutely fit, even during a very scary time. When it often feels like doctors are in such high demand they don’t have a lot of time to spend with each patient, Dr. Leonard *took his time* to explain, educate, relate, and to tell my mom that caring for her was truly his pleasure! I felt as though she was his… only patient, when I know that is far from the truth! I have already gone on and on in sharing my praise about Dr. Leonard to friends and family, and feel very happy for any other patient who is lucky enough to have Dr. Leonard walk in their room!
