Dr. Daniel Jospeh Meshoto, DO

I was a patient of Dr Meshoto for 8 years and lost my Job with the company I was with and owed Dr Meshoto a copay and a out of pocket call due to insurance cancellation which resulted in being barred for life from using the practice I never had a issue with The Dr he was very laid back nice never rude and did a great job every time but getting past the front desk was something else one of the ladies should have been a secret service body guard and the rest were just plain rude and basically the buck stops here so anyway I tried to make the payment and his front desk wouldn’t even except payment full payment the whole thing is ridiculous and they won’t except any new patients unless someone in your family already goes there so it’s a all exclusive club all or nothing

The things keeping me from giving 5 stars is, as others have mentioned, his receptionist. Her impatience and apparent lack of attention has caused problems with me getting prescriptions filled. The other factor is that they are not open on Fridays. Dr. Meshoto is very attentive and helpful. But he needs a new receptionist.

Doctor great front office staff are the rudest people I know, I think the doctor actually has no say so in the place the office people tell him what to do, poor doctors office

I went in for a routine vaccination but I got charged for an office visit that my insurance didn't cover because I mentioned on the phone that I had recently gotten bit by a dog. My only purpose for going to Dr Meshoto's was to get a tetanus shot and he did not look at or offer advice on my dog bite. After receiving the bill I explained this to the receptionist and the office manager but they were both rude and combative with me. Sharon the office manager said "Your whole family comes here but we only have a problem with you." And then she hung up the phone. Sounds like a great employee. I won't be back. And I told my whole family about this terrible experience.

Dr. Meshoto is very nice but he is pretty laid back so I feel I need to ask questions. I personally don't mind this but it isn't everyone's cup of tea. My three star rating is specifically due to his office manager. I've found her very condescending in a couple of our conversations and I've heard her on the phone with the same tone. She costs him 2 stars.

I have been going to Dr. Meshoto for years, and have decided I must try to find another doctor with a better front office staff. They think they are the doctor, asking questions other than why did I want to see the doctor! I have had trouble getting prescriptions filled due to their interference and, they once said, "Well, we have other patients that need their medicines refilled, too!" I truly like and trust Dr. Meshoto, but he needs new receptionists!

While In the process of transferring doctors for scheduling and family matters, I discovered I was short approx 2 weeks of medication before I was scheduled to see the new doctor. I called the office and explained my situation, asking for a short extension to the prescription. The receptionist advised I would have to make an appt. I asked to speak to the doctor and she said she would deliver my message and see what he had to say. I never received a call back, instead I received a denial message from the pharmacy. I called back and asked again to speak to the doctor and was told I had to make an appt. so I did. When I met with the doctor he advised he was vaguely aware of why I was there. I told him instead of costing me vacation time, gas, an $85 appt fee and the wasting of his time and mine, this could have been resolved with a 5 minute phone call. He said the insurance companies are very strict but I could have extended my prescription on my own by beginning 6 weeks earlier and… halving my medication. I asked how I was supposed to know that when his receptionist would not let me speak to him. He advised he would not code the office visit as a physical. No apology for the rudeness of his staff or the extra charge. This tells me I made the right decision in transferring to another doctor as this office is more concerned with scheduling appointments than the welfare of their patients.

The receptionist at this office was horribly rude when I called to find out why my prescription refill was denied. I have been taking the medication for about 10 years but she refused to refill it until I come back for an appointment. She was so hateful and told me several times that I was irresponsible. I work in the healthcare field and I would never speak to a patient the way she spoke to me. My husband and I will never go back again.

The reason I left Dr. Meshoto. He was great but couldn't deal with the staff. Very Rude and could never get you in quick especially when you were really sick.
