Dr. Daniel John Oleary, MD

Dr. Oleary is a pretty good doctor. My family has been seeing him for over twenty years. Unfortunately I have to change doctors since I had to change my insurance. The staff are rather nice when you are making an appointment or are in the office. The only negative thing I can say comes from a final encounter when I asked a secretary if Dr. O'Leary accepted any plans under MassHealth. She was first a bit dismissive, saying O'Leary wasn't accepting new patients, which I wasn't a new patient. She then went on to say she didn't know if any plans were since there were a lot of plan, which is fair, but you would think it would be a common enough question to say yes some plans are accepted or that no plans are accepted. But it was a fair response regardless, if you don't know you don't know. But her tone however is where I took issue. From the start of the conversation she sounded annoyed and dismissive. I would have continued to list off the plans offered by Masshealth but after the second… one, I politely ended the call since at that point, I felt like I was wasting her time. Considering I was a patient, you would think there would have been a "Sorry it didn't work out, hope you find a new doctor" or something along those lines, but no. Feel like I was lucky to get a "Goodbye" at all and not just a hangup. Anyways despite my last experience with his office, they are generally professional and good people. The secretary could have been having a bad day or just waking up. They don't usually treat their patients like that. It is disheartening when they do, but it happens and its best not to judge the whole practice for it.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. O’Leary for 20+ years now. We have found him to be caring, knowledgeable and very kind. His staff is wonderful also. Whenever one of us has called the office with an issue, we always get a call back very quickly. His nurse usually calls, which makes sense, as Dr. O’Leary is surely busy with patients. If necessary, the nurse relays the concerns to Dr. O’Leary and promptly calls us back with information or to tell us to make an appointment. We have never felt rushed by him, but he does stay on time very well. We have never waited long in his waiting room, however we are retired, so we can schedule visits for less busy times of the day. Someone said he plays on his computer while seeing you. That is now how doctors take notes about the conversation between the doctor and patient. We feel very lucky to have Dr. O’Leary as our physician.

I have three words to describe Dr. O'Leary: Arrogant Dismissive Condescending

I have a brother that suffered a debilitating stroke almost 30 years ago. As of late there have been issues arising that required me to speak with Dr. O'Leary on my brothers behalf. Every contact I have had with his office staff has been tremendous, (especially Heather)! I have needed to speak with Dr. O'leary on numerous occasions and he has never remotely rushed our conversations. He has returned my phone calls after hours at times and has always given good advise. I'd like to thank him and his staff for their professionalism!

very first visit and he's telling me I'll be dead by 60 years old. I already have ADD-Stress and Anxiety thru the roof and have a stent in my heart and this guy totally treated me like I know nothing. I felt so sick leaving there, so much worse then went I went in. I cannot beleive how they are. I moved from another town. I asked if the records got there, doctors telling me no, no records arrived, nurse is telling me yes they have them. they get all appointmnets messed up and he won't perscribe what other doctors have been for many years that help me sleep at night. doesn't care anything about what I say, just what he hears himself say. I agree, stay away. dangerzone.

This man is a TERRIBLE doctor. I can not even start explaining the way he treated me. I have never met such a terrible doctor/person in my while entire life. Do not go to him.

HE IS A HORRIBLE DOCTOR! My dog can make a better doctor than this man. I have never seen anyone treat their patient the way he has. I can not believe he is still practicing with people because even animals don't deserve to be treated by this man

He is a horrible doctor. His secretary is pretty awful too. She loss my paperwork various times. Docor O’leray spends little or not time with you. The time he spends with you he doesn’t even look at your because he is too focus playing behind his screen. My three year old makes a better doctor than him. He has no ethic, no sympathy for people. I’ve talked to several people who have him as a doctor and be pretty much think people are making up their symptoms. He is a HORRIBLE doctor. I do not recommend him AT ALL! So many years of experience and schooling for someone to be so awful at the job. I can tell he is just there for the paycheck.

I get a call 2 days before my annual appointment that he has to reschedule.....and can't see me for over two months!!!!

I have had this Dr for many years and he just continues to become more lax in his care of patients. He ignores health problems and spends little time with his patients. His staff is very unprofessional and rude. There is no follow through with recommended testing. After multiple attempts he continues to not return calls and ignores requests to schedule needed testing.
