you can sure tell he works with workman comp. every time we were in the waiting room, you could hear him telling his assistant to schedule surgery. My husband was the actual patient. my husband has gone through 3 surgeries with this man (oh he's with him to the end) what a piece of work... i would not recommend him to anyone. the very 1st apt. we weren't there 5 minutes and he was scheduling surgery. when we returned the following week for a follow up apt. i was so blown away, after removing the bandages from my husbands arm Dr Olsen had the gal to use the old bandage to cover the wound back up say "oh you can change it when you get home, they don't stock my rooms with this stuff" I was sick. the next apt. Olsen pulled a pair of tweezers out of his pocket and just started pulling staples and stitches with them, who knows what he had used them for prior to that. Oh and did i mention my husband also contacted MRSA. that was 9 weeks of in home IV's and still not cleared. He then referred… him to (wound) dr. and from that point on said he didn't need to see him again. I know of other people that were referred to him and he has done surgery on them with no success.. I cant stand to hear this mans name. my husband is still dealing with the original issue and it had been 2 1/2 years..... DISGUSTED.. Ease of appointment, because the man is so greedy.

I was sent here for an Independent Medical Exam. 'Independent', my foot! He is owned by MCIM (a Work Comp insurance company) and says what MCIM wants him to say. He and his staff told me I could NOT get a copy of my medical records by signing a Release of Information form. That in itself is illegal. Every person is legally entitled to a copy of their own medical records - no matter who orders the tests. When I finally read a copy of his report, I was dismayed and very angered in his use of words. It bordered on slander. His staff was rude. If he's a good surgeon, that's great. But in my opinion, I don't trust the man. If he sells himself out and taints his reports with half-truths in the wrong context, I would not trust him to operate on me. Buyer beware.

I am very pleased with the basil thumb surgery Dr. Olsen performed on my hand.
