Dr. Daniel Howison Riddick

We have this man to thank for our two great kids who are now in their early forties. I had had 5 or 6 miscarriages before I consulted with Dr. Riddick who figured out that there was a structural malformation in my uterus that other doctors had missed. I remember looking up from the operating table and seeing dozens of UConn medical students observing the cutting edge laparoscopic procedure that fixed the problem. I met him only once—and wept through that appointment—and saw him briefly before being anesthetized for surgery. But I will never forget how his expertise allowed us to build a family.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Daniel Riddick as Dept Head Secretary of Ob/Gyn at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine back in the early 1970's when it first opened! When I went on to become an RN, BSN a few years later, I got to work in the Center of Advanced Reproductive Medicine to see first-hand the true fruits of his labors as I was screening potential applicants for their Anonymous Egg Donor program. SO proud to be able to get to know such a brilliant clinician, who is one of most compassionate healthcare professionals I've yet to meet throughout my 46-year career this year as I've now been teaching RN's and allied health medical professionals for over 26 years as a college professor, as well as concurrently serving a vast variety of CT-Licensed Childcare Centers as a private Childcare RN Health Consultant since 1992! :)
