Dr. Daniel Ignacio Schere, MD

I have a long medical history & on my first visit Dr Schere had reviewed my records & understood my issues. By end of our visit he had comprehensive plan which he explained & answered all my questions. Would recommend him to anyone.

I am a nurse & picky about doctors. My son had a grand mal seizure and as a nurse I had recently been studying this very thing. He was VERY kind and thorough & spent time explaining EVERYTHING. He ordered the appropriate tests, and I felt 100% comfortable with the care my son received. Regarding the other comments....do you want an excellent clinician or a friend. Get your warm fuzzies from nurses or other staff, and get excellent professional care from the doctor even if his bedside manner isn't excellent...which I thought Dr. Schere was extremely caring and I've experienced lots of doctors as a nurse & a patient. Also, everyone in his office was very kind.

Border line rude, uninterested in my condition, take over the counter herbs for headaches (NOT) my reason for seeing him. Very arrogant and not willing to listen to anything. Lose weight it might get better. Would never recommend him or his services.

The worst Doctor I had experience with. He left savannah and moved to another state without notifying me. The clinic says that they sent me a letter but I did not receive any letter. What type of a doctor leaves his patients unattended? I would not recommend anyone to see him just because he does not seem to care about his patients.

Feeling dismissed and annoyed after this doctor's visit. My PCP sent me to a neurologist to look into possible medical causes of my migraines, and for better treatment to get them under control and have my life back, possibly. I just recovered from a migraine that lasted two weeks. The doctor asked if I have ever tried medications such as nasal spray medication or dissolvables since no medication I've tried thus far has given me relief for this certain headache I get for weeks at a time every six months or so. Then gave me one of the same meds I already had listed as having, that doesn't work. I was told it must me the kind of migraine that I will never get relief from, even though I know there are many options to be explored. That was the point of seeing a specialist, ya know? Waste of time, money and energy.

He wouldn't even listen to me and just tried to throw me out the door with a prescription for an antidepressant. I tried to explain to him that I am having issues with not being able to remember words and typing the wrong words when I'm doing things like writing emails or school papers (when I was in school.) He told me there was "no evidence" that I have these cognitive problems. Really, "doctor"? Because I could probably still pull up the emails where I've done it; I know I have a magazine article in my closet where I typed the completely wrong word, the editor didn't catch it, and it was published. He also told me that my headaches "weren't concerning" to me. I told him that, yes, I sort of am concerned about the fact that it feels like someone jabbed a knife through the right side of my head almost nonstop, and he repeated himself saying that I "wasn't concerned" about the headaches. Don't go to this guy if you actually want a shot at an answer or to at least not be told that your… symptoms are all in your head. I will say that the nurse I saw on my last visit before I "fired" him as my doctor was really courteous and friendly. That's about the nicest thing I can say about this practice. His patient care coordinator was even rude to me when I called in to cancel my next appointment with him, explaining that I was going to have to find another doctor because he wouldn't listen to me.
